Is anyone going to dress up as a Firefly character for halloween? I am thinking about it but don't know where to get a costume or what to dress as. Any ideas?

As an Independant, you MUST know you have to make whatever costume your own self, right?
Or pay someone to...
I'd go for training-house Inara if I were of the female persuasion. With bow.

I'll be a hybrid. I'm wearing the Chinese dress I wore to the Shindig at Dragon Con with pale make up and vampire fangs.

And 4 bottles of True Blood (blood orange soda in authentic bottles) ordered just for Halloween from HBO. Just hope I don't scare the kids who come to the door.

Also, Firefly inspired costumes are easy to do on a budget. For a Zoe inspired one I have khaki pants with just a little stretch from Walmart. A brick red collared shirt from JC Penney, just purchased brown boota from Ross Dress for Less, a Zoe necklace from the internet and a toy winchester from Toys R Us secured with a belt and homemade holster from Target. All for under $100.

My Chinese dress was $50 from a local Asian market.

See, now that's funny 'cause she'd ONLY be wearing the bow. Cheapest costume ever.

Did you not see the link Haken has on the home page for a costume shop????

The Chinese outfit is the easiest.

I'm sneaking up on either Wash or a home-brewed Browncoat, but probably notin time for this year. Maybe next year...

This year I will probably be going as " Woman in Labor" since the baby is due on the 31st.

Maybe it will be like that movie "Jack" with Robin Williams and you'll get your baby delivered by a doctors all dressed up for Halloween. That would be fun...and weird.

Also, I know it's the wrong thread but I say 7 lbs 3 oz on Halloween.

STOWEAWAY

Our whole family will be Dr. Horrible characters. Does that count?

Good luck with your costume. We're using the same ones from Dragon*Con 'cause I didn't have time to come up with something else.

I don't think she'll make it to Halloween, shes got a boy and they are usually early. My guess is Oct 26th,....7 lbs 10 oz 19"long
