Gravitation is a natural phenomenon by which objects with mass attract one another. In everyday life, gravitation is most commonly thought of as the agency which lends weight to objects with mass. Gravitation compels dispersed matter to coalesce, thus accounting for the existence of the Earth, the Sun, and most of the macroscopic objects in the universe. It is responsible for keeping the Earth and the other planets in their orbits around the Sun; for keeping the Moon in its orbit around the Earth; for the formation of tides; for convection, by which fluid flow occurs under the influence of a temperature gradient and gravity; for heating the interiors of forming stars and planets to very high temperatures; and for various other phenomena observed on Earth. Modern physics describes gravitation using the general theory of relativity, in which gravitation is a consequence of the curvature of spacetime which governs the motion of inertial objects. The simpler Newton's law of universal gravitation provides an accurate approximation for most calculations.

The terms gravitation and gravity are mostly interchangeable in everyday use, but a distinction is made in scientific circles. "Gravitation" is a general term describing the phenomenon by which bodies with mass are attracted to one another, while "gravity" refers specifically to the net force exerted by the Earth on objects in its vicinity as well as by other factors, such as the Earth's rotation.

EL the force or electricity is what binds the universe not just gravity. But I never thought Einstein was right on everything. The good thing is I need both to watch the Cowboys get beat on Monday Night Football.

Perhaps you should not be so hard on him. Maybe he really, really, really was the original author of that paper and then everybody on the internetty thing copied his dedicated hard working product, including these:

Ya, and how often does that happen. Especially, from someone with the reputation such as he. Especially, since that isn't a paper. If one wants to know what a real paper looks like, check out pretty much anything here:

http://arxiv.org

THOSE are papers.

Don't wanna be rude, but I got the exact same impression: a 16yr old, fancying himself quite the scientist, copying from his dad's encyclopedia. And so it's shown, once again, that it's easier for a wise man to play a fool, than for a fool to play a wise man (unless he's a wise man playing a fool; in which case he succeeded marvelously).

P.S. As for the REAL MAN thingy, REAL MEN write REAL PAPERS.

Yale has very low standards then. Oh, wait - isn't that where Dubya Bush went to college?

But hell, that's not a paper. It's barely a couple of paragraphs.

If you got an A for that paper, then I despair at the level of education needed in your country to excel. I fail to see the relevance of your post Kingelbert. What are you trying to achieve by posting it?.It just appeared out of nowhere. If somebody on the forum had enquired about the subject then all well and good. But it just doesn't make sense why it is there. Unsolicited and irrelevant. What you have posted makes perfect sense for what it is, but what is the context in which you have posted it?
You then go on, yet again, to steal somebody's tagline, which as usual proves your immaturity.I'm sorry Kingelbert, I don't mean to be a Harpy in your direction. It's just that I don't get you, and sadly, I doubt I ever will.
Perhaps if you had suggested that if anybody was interested in learning about gravitation,"here is some reading material", that would be fine, but this seems to be a futile attempt at letting people know how clever you are and I'm sorry, it hasn't convinced me.!!!

It has to do with gravity, space things like that now i don't know about you but when I watched Firefly they were in outerspace so yes gravitation can be a subject matter on here.JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T THINK OF IT DOESN'T MAKE IT WRONG.

Remember ladys housework isn't a job it's a PRIVILEDGE.

From your own mind, eh? Dude! You copied that text, word for word, from Wikipedia!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravitation

It's one thing to be 16 and seek out the Internet to compensate for your (apparent) lack of self-esteem in real life. But now you just add insult to injury. I mean, how stupid do you think we are?? That we would really believe anyone from Yale would get an A for such a paper?? The fact that you even thought you could pass that 'paper' off as something smart, that really says a lot about your own level of intelligence (which isn't necessarily low; 'bout right for a 16yr old, I'd say).

Do as Book said: if you can't do something smart, do something right! Not lying would be a good start.

Maybe an average 16yo, but when I was 16 I knew better than to copy crap from a reference text. Even when plagarizing, to copy verbatim without changing one single word exudes exteme laziness.
