Hmmmm, streaks in the bar. Need to get that fixed.

Finally feeling better, stupid flu!

I am sooooo jealous of you Gee, that would be the ultimate gift! I am a WWII junkie, love to read and learn about it.

Anyway, happily working in very casual clothes from my "office" at home (it's a walk in closet!), no shoes, no shirt, ahhh, love working from home.

Evening all,

I really ought to be revising but screw it for five mins.

*starts doing weight routine for amusement of all*

Would have been a good laugh for you all tonight, ok the 120 Ibs squats & deadlift would have been impressive but I caught my head with the bar once doing overhead presses today and failed utterly at new weight, horrible form, all bad, try again next week.

I guess Kel wins...

still I had teh awesome day yesterday, I was so lucky I can't believe it. I sent an email of thanks last night as it was an amazing day and it appears the old man did the same as the woman who runs the days sent a reply to both of us thanking us for an email. She said it was really rare to get so many vets in the same day and essentially they had as an amazing day as we did. I'll try to stop talking about it as don't want to become a bore but was officially best present ever!

*steaks bar in a blur*

I'm so fast I could play receiver for the Lions, of course I can't catch a football to save my life so I'd fit right in

I spent the day learning/doing triage. Yay me! I think the nurse who usually does this must spend half her day trying to stop laughing long enough to call the next patient. Peoples is silly critters.

I am waiting for the hubster to get home, so I can load up the car that is better for hauling tubs o stuff, and get four rubbermaid storage containers plus a large shopping bagfull to the person whose job it now is to let all this lovely stuff collect dust at HER house. Win! They're just heavy.. (said ala Kaylee)

The leaves are turning. It was a gloriously mild day, and if it wasn't so wet I'd have sworn it was summer...

HK: I meant that the new shows I'm watching are OK, and full of BDH goodness, but it's not the same as watching Firefly where they interact and reinforce each other's awesomeness. (Sigh..)

Maybe they'll be able to play off each other again some day.

Barkeep! Get some clothes on.. or don't.. and pour a round for the room on me!

I'm just in a good mood today.

YAY for Rosie having an awesome job... and yay for all the patients who get an awesome nurse:)
Our local doctors have their nurses cross train in pediatrics, obgyn, and family practice so they all know the doctors, the patients, and have skills in all areas... makes for very helpful nurse:)

Yay for a good/entertaining day SR!

So, started my part-time gig as a computer-based high school credit recovery monitor-type. *lol* I end up doing the one thing I was swearing up and down I wouldn't do -- go back to work for the DOE. The good part though, is even though the kids are trying to make up lost credits, these kids know what they're here for, they know what they need to do and are willing to do it, and *gasp!* appreciate the help (and light scoldings to do the computer work instead of playing around). (Mainly telling the kids "C'mon, I figured you wanted to finish this as soon as possible...but it looks like you want to stay here until Spring break, or later.")

With that much good, you'd think I'd be super happy, right?

*confiscates a new bottle of top shelf, single-malt whisky, a bottle of shochu, a large bottle of spicy V8, a bottle of Sirancha, and a lethally-large looking sledgehammer*

If anyone wants me, I'll be in the soundproofed breakables room. I've got a four-letter problem, and I'll spot you the first and last two...g, y, and s. (and no, it's not an "a" if u get it right.)

Lololololol .. my parents are going away for 4 days! To Paris :) Now, most teenagers given that news plan a massive party and get so drunk they can't stand. I, however, have planned a Firefly marathon.

Coz I'm awesome like that.

I've never had my arm be this sore this long after a shot. It might be b/c it's the same arm I got my HepB done in about a week ago. That must be it.

*is calmer*

*gently, but firmly pulls FLT away from teh breakables room door* FLT, sweetie, that's bound to be an eye-losing experience....simply if anything from inside that room goes flying towards the door.

Kel: What did Blue Falcon do this time? And do you need help getting rid of the evidence?

FLT and MsB: The guy I've been...well spending my Sunday afternoons with called...well, let's just skip to the point and say the conversation wasn't plesant, and I felt (once again) trampled on (by him -- and if this was a serious relationship instead of what it is, I'm pretty sure I'd have "lost" his number after the first two rounds of "You're not exactly what I want...", after turning 'round and pointing out all his flaws in the bloodiest way possible.)
Same types of statments, different guys I've dated...I'm drawing the conclusion that it's gotta be me. (and before anyone goes "it takes two..." yes it does, but if the situation involves me having a choice ("trust my gut and let myself be attracted" vs. "trust my head and keep them at least an arm's length away") then whatever happens because of my choice (as far as I'm concerned) is still my fault.

HK: Didn't you get the memo? I'm supposed to be the Russian judge *eyes follow bouncing-off-the-walls-ninjakitty* Even a guy who had all the best qualities of Serenity's crew (Sean's and Adam's physiques, Alan's hair and smile, Nathan's general charisma and charm, and Ron's overall coolness) would get at best an 8.2 *is suddenly tired from trying to talk to ninjakitty while keeping her in eyesight*
*ducks tomatoes tossed her way for the low rating of teh men of FF*
*passes over teh minimum daily booty ninjakitty needs -- with really shiny can-o-chlled-'Dew*

Nico: Ah! Teh joys of flash flooding...not. Are you telling me that teh weather forecasters didn't even see it coming? *shakes head* Geesh!

*waves to Roxy, WuS, Avery, and everyone else she missed*

SR: 2 shots in 2 weeks? Owie...owie...owie.

MsB: I think I've tried just about everything once...blind date set ups, those pre-dating date meetups, asking guys out, meeting a guy at a bar, meeting guys online (I lost count of how many dating sites I've been to), through school (when I was in college), through temple/church/whatever-you-call-it....Only one I haven't tried is an arranged date set up by my family and his. (I do draw the line at putting out a want ad in the newspaper.) I've even done a "my friends I trust have to like you" test. (Not a "test" just if my friends I trust like the guy as a person, then I know it's less likely I'm picking up a general loser.)
