On the rare occasion when my budget stretches beyond basics, I like to indulge in:
Greens organic Chocolate (orange spice)
bath and body products from "Lush"
good goats milk cheese
Wattle Valley lemon myrtle and bush honey yoghurt
opp shopping
proper Italian hot chocolate
really beautiful textured wool yarns to knit/felt with
cool retro resin beads to create with
Woodsware (1930's-60's english China)
SFX magazine (it costs 11.95 in Australia so it's a bit of a luxury buy)
Authentic Canadian Maple syrup.

A favorite DVD in Blu-Ray-I have a player but the discs are pricy.

A load of books from Amazon when I discover a new author

A new pair of walking shoes. My favorite are New Balance 470s-the only ones that fit comfortably my different sized feet

A new top to mix and match with my current wardrobe

Unless hospitalized or at a Doctor's appointment, we insist on breakfast out at our favorite local coffee shop every Thursday morning. We go, we eat, we schmooze with the waitress, we gossip with the other patrons, we leave a nice tip, regardless of our situation. Unemployed, broke, in trouble, we go. We don't go, we miss it all week.

YERSINIA

Mmmm...favorite indulgences? Ooooh....

My Macintosh computers. Upgrade or improve upon about once a year or so. This year I'm making up for having skipped last year: bought a terabyte of HD space (500 GB external USB/Firewire HD plus two 250 GB internal HDs for my G4 Quicksilver 867 (current main machine), and then adding a "new" G4 1.5 GHz Mini I just saw and couldn't resist! $115 shipped! What a deal!

Cheesecake (PLAIN AND PURE!!! NO FRUIT OR CHOCOLATE CRAP ON IT). Usually eat this twice a year.

Shrimp Scampi. Usually eat this at intervals of MANY years.

"The Great Outdoors" (heh heh heh) when I'm up at my boyfriend's (he lives in an evolved 'shack in the woods' in a rural area). Weather's gotta be good of course. :biggrin

I know, it's a short list, but it does me just fine.

"Call me if anyone interesting shows up..."

A good(and affordable )meal at a Vietnamese retaurant in my neighborhood...gotta love a good bowl of pho,and the beef-lemongrass stir fry with vermicelli rocks...usually accompanied by one or more "33"s....
Nice people(the family that runs it),and they tend to feed this particular skinny street dog with a generous touch for the cost.

Peanut M&M's

Doritos Nacho Cheese Chips

Coca Cola

Hot Fudge Sunday

No specific order. Just know they will not last long once I have my hands on them.

Outside of food I indulge in reading. I will read about anything. My favorite subjects are Science Fiction, that is a given, and miltary history. But I have a favorite mystery writer and a favorite Shakespeare play, "Much Ado about Nothing". I guess that is why I know so little about everything.

Haagen Daz Belgian Fudge bars, if I could find them anymore.

Another good book by a favorite author.

One of my favorite restaurants - one has pancakes, another has steaks, another has amazing baked fish, 2 have great chili, farther away are a good teriyaki chicken, and BBQ beef ribs, and farther yet a couple great Italian places.

RW Knudsen's juice Spritzers - Red Rasberry.

Der Wafflemeister Waffles - any flavor.

I have frosted mugs in my freezer - poured correctly (like beer) A&W Root Beer in those tastes better than at the restaurant.

Carving up a hilly curvy country road in my convertible muscle car - alone or with a few dozen others.

Seeing films in the cinema, several per week.

Grilled peanut butter sandwiches -with honey of course.

That's why I love the good ol USofA, if it's got a skin--we'll turn it into yummy leather goods. (well, not people...I'm not like a reaver or anything) I forgot to put fur on my list...like those too...Glad there's somebody else out there that likes that new leather smell. Seriously, they oughta make a perfume or room spray or something. I'd buy it.

Depends on your definition of kinky. I like to think of mine as "pleasant little quirks" that make me "fun to hang around with," but I guess it depends on who you're hangin around with... wow, my own circuitous logic has made my head hurt...

I think Joe malone might make a leather influenced fragrance...or used to. India makes some of the best leathergoods. If I lived in the US I'd be back to my old creative habits. I do have a mild objection to using hides from animals bred specifically for their skins though. I try to use skins that have come from abatoirs etc. I'm also a vegetarian....weird I know. I think should have been born in an era when people killed beasts to use the whole animal out of need rather than want.

Joe Malone? Not familiar, but I will be looking up on the cortex here soon...

I'm not a vegetarian, but I agree with you about not killing the whole cow just to get the skin (not sure that made sense, but you get the idea). I'm not a big fan of waste in general-- it has a tendency to bite you in the ass and we do way too much of it...
