Charisma Carpenter for Wonder Woman all the way. Tall, beautiful, funny and smart.

Sean Maher as the Phantom. As in Phantom 2040 - I can totally see that.

Ah GL - only DC character I really enjoyed, and only then the Hal Jordan era - can't wait for him to come back in a few months.

See, they ruined all our fun, because time was you could go to any SF convention and at 3am in the morning you were guaranteed that somewhere in a corner there were 10 or so people casting the X-Men movie. Then they went and made it, and nobody could raise the enthusiasm for a Justice League or Avengers movie.

rumor has it that sarah michelle gellar is the top contender for the new wonder woman movie in the works.
i personally think that's a bad choice for wonder woman.

I completely agree! Wonder Woman is supposed to be an Amazonian to begin with. Even if they fit SMG with some super-fantastic platform shoes and other prosthetics, she just doesn't fit the role.

I agree, Morena Baccarin has that exotic look, that mediterrranean olive skin... she'd be awesome as W.W. How about Nathan Fillion as Steve Trevor?

If Morena Baccarin weren't like 5'5" or something, she'd be good... but she just doesn't have that Amazonian quality. Neither, I have to say, do Charisma Carpenter or Sarah Michelle Gellar. They don't really look the part. If I had to cast it based on looks alone, I think I'd go with Lucy Lawless in a second... though I don't know how good an actress she is. I've never actually seen an episode of Xena.

I could definitely see Nathan Fillion as a Green Lantern though.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Sarah Michelle Gellar?!? Bite your tongue! She is too short and too scrawney to play Wonder Woman.

Now Charisma Carpenter has the height, body style, and acting ability to pull it off. She would make the perfect WW.

Also..Charisma Carpenter has had 7+ years of action/drama/comedy/fantasy experience. I would think that would help.

Lucy does a fantastic job in that kind of role. Her only challenge is that she's not really as tall as she appears in Xena. They did some creative shooting and forced perspective to make her look taller than Renee ("Gabrielle"). I was a big joke on the set.

That being said, I can TOTALLY see Lucy as Wonder Woman!

Along those lines, I'd heard that a remake of "The Green Hornet" was in the works, to be directed by Kevin Smith. Wouldn't David Boreanaz make for a great Hornet?

History doesn't always repeat itself. Sometimes it merely shouts "Weren't you listening the first time?!?" and lets fly with a club.

I think you all have a problem with your brain being missing. The obvious choice for the next Wonder Woman, beautiful, Amazonian, tough, is none other than our own Gina Torres. Picture her with the wavy Zoe hair in Wonder Woman get-up...she is of Cuban descent, so the island-origin notion is not out reach. I think Linda Carter would be proud to be followed by her.

And I'd love to see David in a role like that.

www.imdb.com has Lawless listed at 5'10 1/2" and Renee listed at 5'4".

They didn't need to do TOO much creative shooting.

David would be fantastic in the role of the Britt Reid, Green Hornet.

Now, who would play Kato? My first instinct is Jet Li, but he would be expensive to cast.

Unfortunately, any makers of a long freakin' overdue Wonder Woman moveie missed the perfect casting by about fifteen years. No one would have been more perfect for the role than Marina Sirtis. She's even Greek, for Goddess sake! Today, however, if a WW movie ever does get made, Marina would make a damn awesome Hippolyte.

I'd personally want to see a George Perez version, if they chose to do one. Nate Fillion would make a fabulous Steve Trevor, but for the Perez version, he may be a bit young. My absolute MUST HAVE casting if they do this would be Bebe Neuwarth as Myndi Mayer. After being snubbed by the makers of CHICAGO, Bebe deserves any role of her choice.

Side Rant:
Hollywood is so stupid. Telling Bebe she couldn't do the movie version of Chicago would be like telling Julie Andrews she couldn't re-make her Broadway version of Eliza in My Fair Lady. Oh wait...they were stupid back then, too.
