Lolz, glad to see they haven't gone stale (cause then they're really awful...)

And I don't know/care which thread this is, I'm asking this question anyways- why is it that all of the friends I've made recently are all flirts? >.<

One man's flirt is another man's friendly. Depends on how you define 'flirty' - whether it's a few kind words, a wink-wink-nudge-nudge, an invitation to romance or a forcible removal of clothing. :P It's all too easy to misinterpret what someone, really anyone, is saying or doing. A few Shindigs ago, I had only to say hi-how-are-ya to a friend who was female, and my GF at the time gave me a look and darkly stated, Flirt. (Mind you, she had issues.) Now are you talking of friends you've made here, or in that foul abyss that is real life?

Friends in another forum (I've lately grown addicted to rp-ing, and all the guy friends I've met at that site are flirts!) And I'm defining flirt as 'wink-wink-nudge-nudgeing' all the time, and repeatedly keep talking about how cute I am (despite me not having shown them any pics), and pushing the line to see how much I'll let them get away with (hugs, kisses, slaps on the ass... keep having to verbally beat them up after hugs, but they keep not getting the idea). They're fine most of the time, but lately they're all pushing the line at the same time, and it's starting to get on my nerves >.<

Bleah. Yeah, I see where you're at. That's a flirt preparing to scale the Great Wall of Harassment.

Have they seen you at your craziest? Might be that'd make 'em think twice....

Might be you just need a subliminal message broadwaved to trigger you. Seriously, though - it may just take something external, although I couldn't tell you quite what. Maybe a flirt-o-flood coming on the heels of some parental frustration? Dunno. Just think, it could be a blessing in disguise.

And yeah, practicing flirting is probably a good idea, it's just a little overwhelming to have a couple of them doing it at once.... >.>. But I yelled at one and he backed down, and the other has some serious rl stuff going on so.... safe for now -whew-

Hey all... trip to SLC was good. Poor Nv drove 8.5 hours on Saturday and 8.5 hours today so we could go to a birthday part... and I got back to find the district has made yet another abrupt decision without consulting any one and it totally changes my schedule and time off one more time. Also it might mean that even though I'll get the time off I won't get my maternity leave same as others so it'll be considered my regular " off track time" and I'll end up having to use my sick days for the rest of it... so I'll be home the first 2 months with the baby but I won't get paid maternity leave like everyone else... YAY

Instead of "off track" how about "off road" as in "if you don't frakking pay me I'll run you off the road""

... just a thought...

... not necessarily a good one...

LOL well it certainly goes with my response..but nw that I've calmed down it won't be too bad so long as they stick to this one ( as this is the 4 revision to the consultant's schedules in 3 months) ' cause it'll mean I don't have to use all my sick days for maternity leave:)

HUGS Rosie.. how is the boychild fairing this summer?? Any tell tale signs of impending world domination yet??

its a workday? ><;; a very long one at that *dies*

is it possible to *fall* asleep while walking? cuz i swear i've been doing that lately. today, i was firmly holding a bottle of snapple, walking down the hallway from the kitchen back to the office, and my hand just *let go*. i dont have motor function problems, so when stuff like this happens (believe it or not, i'm really not a clutz, or accident prone, and i never drop stuff for no reason like that), it makes me wonder.

barkeep, sumthin to give me a restful night so that doesnt happen again ><;;

how's everyone's evening?

Holy shit I've been gone for two days and there's a whole TON of posts (most of them long, IC posts and cs's) piled up in the rp forum (which I have to read- ALL OF THEM- and then write posts for, and try and go that while chatting with two people...). GEE

well good morning again.

Site wouldn't let me in yesterday evening and yesterday was MANIC. Stuck at the office to bloody six last night plowing through the spam email. And to top it off, no sooner had I ordered the new power amp to boost our pa signal in the rehearsal room than new vocalist decides she's not into things and our band's not for her, Gorram it! Sill... we did need the power amp so shan't feel guilty.

Glad things are going well for you MsA & NV, as for other half, picking up nicely, she had a really nasty start to the academic year as her management staff are completely effing hopeless, lovely people but no backbone and avoid confrontation so when they dumped her with one support staff coming back from long term sick that never made it in (genuinely not her fault and she's back working part time now but didn't make like three days for other half) combined with a new member of staff that was just terrible they refused to back her in disciplining the new person i.e make them actually do their effing job. Add to that they kept on hiring a supply that other half specifically asked them not to (the final straw with that one was when she tried to feed ham sandwiches to Muslim children without thinking!) and she had a crappy time but now has a new team (nightmare woman left for a new job where she's already been swapped into a new class room and is going into a new year group next year) that's working really well and were taking on full time for next year so going into her third year she finally has some stability. Wow that turned into an essay and I didn't even get onto how she's coordinating the out of school activities at her place.

I'd better get on before I over run this place with teacher talk (I seem to have picked up an awful lot by osmosis!).

*magics up drinks for everyone in the hope of drumming up some company*
