Howdy all.
Have a favour to ask: I am trying to find a downloadable source of the acoustic version of "Mal's Song" that is played at the end of the credit-roll in the Movie.
I have acquired a copy of the soundtrack; and it does not contain the song.
Can any Browncoat steer me in the right direction.

You can find it on the album - "Thirteen" by Vixy and Tony (Michelle Dockrey and Tony Fabris)or go to the website in the music section for downloads - http://vixyandtony.com

I just saw them play live at Norwescon last weekend and the last song they did was "Mal's Song". The room was packed with about a hundred Browncoats all singing along and it was AWESOME!!

So this is the version played in Serenity?
Just want assurance on that; as I love it.
Thanks for your help none-the-less: I'll check out Vixy, and Tony when I get home.

"Mal's Song" is *not* the song played at the end of "Serenity"
The acoustic version of "The Ballad of Serenity" (the Firefly tv show theme song) is what is heard at the end of the movie credits. It was floating around the internet for a while a s a free download, but I can not at this point tell you where.

HOWEVER! There *is* an acoustic, instrumental version of "Mal's Song" by Tony Fabris (of vixy and Tony) on the "Done the Impossible" soundtrack available directly through Done the Impossible, or, funnily enough for sale in my web shop:
www.FireflyCargoBay.com

I hope that helps

Shiny stuff for not a lot of coin:

Here's a YouTube version of the song. It's the best source available for those who want to learn to play the song themselves and it comes with tab.

Just wanted to let y'all know this was exactly what I was lookin' for.
I went to the Movie the first run up here; and waited, and waited through all the credits thinkin' that I would not hear the tune that came to define all the feelings I associated with Firefly, it's ill-fated run on "FuX", as well as the all the characters.
This of course includes Serenity (she's "Our good girl" to everyone here. Is she not?).
Just as I finally rose to leave that poignant little acoustic piece began to play...*grown man with a tear in his eye*.
