Whew! Now with Serenity airing on Jan 3, 2009, the whole month looks to be Nathan Fillion's month.

His new ABC series "Castle" will premiere Jan 7, 2009. http://castletv.net/

His movie "Chilled in Miami" has been renamed "New in Town" and will be released January 30, 2009. http://www.aceshowbiz.com/movie/new_in_town/

So much Nathan, so little time.

Maybe Rene can save it if Harry just stands still and looks pretty and maybe sings a little.

I'll go to see it any way, or at least buy the DVD.
I have heard that they did shoot more scenes with Nathan a few months ago.

I wish someone would release "Trucker". Again Nathan doesn't have the lead but I've heard it's a pretty good movie and Nathan puts in a good performance as the next door neighbor. He's sort of the second lead after a 12 year old.

It doesn't have a release date but has been doing the film festival circuit.

Me too.
Trucker and Castle are the two I'm excited about.
I'm in "wait & see" mode for New In Town. I really really can't stand watching Rene Zelweger. But if Nathan has enough screen-time, I might suffer through it.
You're right, though. It's gonna be a busy month.

To be fair...Harry's not a bad actor...he's just not an outstanding actor like Mr F, so unfortunately his performance will be outranked, but I think he'll cope. I bet everyone watching the movie will ask themselves why their is more chemistry between Rene and the guy who plays her ex rather than the new love interest. On the positive side, it's a Rene Zellweger film so lots of people will see it and go "hey who is that Nathan guy? he's really good, what have I seen him on? I must see more of him...I'll google him and see what else he's done...etc. etc. more exposure can only be a good thing...(I still dream about new installments of Serenity).

You and I think alike. And the same about "Castle".

Just found out that Nathan will be in the expansion to Halo 3 called Recon.
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=201842

"Nathan Fillion of Firefly, who played a random ODST in Halo 3, is signed up the play one of the squad members. "So if you like the voice cast in Halo 3, we've elevated some of them to a cinematic level".

And also "Wonder Woman" with Kerry Russel as Wonder Woman and Nathan as Steve Trevor comes out on March 3 on DVD. How could I forget that?

I saw the trailer to "Castle" Nathan seems to outshine the rest of the cast except the young lady who plays his daughter and the blonde friend at the bar. he somehow manages to inject enough chemistry into the scenes with his female detective co star that almost makes up for her woodeness...I'm trying to thinking positive really I am but I have a little dread gremlin at the back of my head saying "one or two people cannot a series carry even if they rock"... I mean it's hard enough for a series to last with a whole cast of brilliant actors and a novel concept...I'll be happy if Castle proves me wrong.

I felt that way too, but I'm hoping that she "defrosts" a bit as the series goes along.

One bit of maybe bad news is that ABC only ordered 10 episodes instead of 13 so we have to make sure that it's successful early.

The "good news" is that the budget cuts were across the board at ABC. The other new series was cut back too and all the old series were told to cut their budgets.
