BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Very shiny! I'd certainly be interested in getting one.

Any idea yet on cost?

SISTER

hey, Browncoat1 - in reading some of the comments, looks like he'll be asking 300 for 'em; very, very cool!

I've been watching the one over at http://www.fireflyshipworks.com/ pretty closely as well. I'm really excited to get something bigger than the little six inch guy. This one sure looks like it might be a bit less expensive, and I'd enjoy making it from a kit.

Keep us posted.

FIREFLYMECHANIC

I love Serenity and Firefly, and after watching the movie and series I wished that there was a nice model of the Firefly to build and paint.
Also I felt that it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to have a nice size ship to display.
So since I did the 6 ft Star Trek Enterprise kits last year, I decided to do the Firefly just like I wished to see it done.
Accurate in shape, pretty large and most importantly with the core actually rotating.
I molded the 6 ft starship kits in fiberglass for 450, so I know I can offer a great kit at a nice price of a 3 ft Firefly.
I'll be finishing the master in the next month and make molds of it so I can lay the fiberglass in the molds.
Out of those molds will come lightweight Firefly shells ready to glue and paint.

I'll be shipping kits in time for Christmas, so I'll be starting a new sales thread at Propcircle.com for the FULL AFTERBURNER kits and you can reserve your ship.
I'll number and mark the molding date of each ship for collector value.
Thanks for the interest, and watch for a new update this coming weekend.

So you can believe this good fortune about to become true, I'll show some big fiberglass I made.
Here is last years project. I made 10 of these starships.
