Well, he's worked with the author Brad Meltzer on the Buffy comics:

But more worryingly, what's up with Joss's earing?

I'm trying to figure out why Christopher Hitchens participated in this.

that is an interesting clip - and Whedon sells it well...

so, my answer would be that this is simply an effort to make money with this film.... it's all about the promotion - there are no real truths here....

It's not a film, it's a book.

I'm still trying to decide whether or not this is about a fiction or non-fiction work. That, and what it has to do with Jerry Siegel.

Yeah, he annoys me about his atheism as much as those fire-and-brimstone Bible-thumpers.

I can say the same thing about Joss, but that's a whole other thread and can of worms.

Just to be clear, this is a video designed to promote the following book:

It's another fictional novel following in the trail of The Da Vinci Code, with bits of historical trivia thrown in.

TRAVELER

When you open a discussion about the Bible you are opening a can of worms. The Bible has been edited and translated far beyond its origin. It wasn't even a written book for centuries. It was passed down verbally. Even after it was written it went through changes as the Hebrews went through drastic upheavals. So there are stories missing from the original and the stories that do exist have been edited several times.

There is a book I found helpful in understanding the origin of the first written Bible. It is called "The Book of J" translated by David Rosenburg. If you can locate this book it may give anyone, who wishes, a better understanding of the evolution the Bible has gone through. It is an interesting read. Scholars have been struggling to extract the original text and this book trys to reveal not only the original text of the Bible but the author who wrote it.

on further examination I would have to say that the reason Joss is plugging this Book (thanks for the correction Simon - i typed film instead of book), is that it appears that Meltzer needs all the help he can get to sell this turkey... not rushing out to buy this one...
