I just read on thedigitalbits.com that Fox has pushed the Blu-ray release of Firefly to 2009 now?

they've been canvassing for special feature requests here and elsewhere - so it should still be happening.

my guess is around the time that DollHouse launches or finishes. makes sense from a marketing point of view.

personally though - i hope it takes a while - i don't wanna have to throw my dvds out just yet!

Aaah!

I pre-ordered this from Amazon in May. I've been waiting for it because I have a new, BIG HDTV and BluRay player.

I was ready for another go through the series. It is, of course, even better in High-Def. When I watched the Universal HD versions I saw things in the background that I never saw before, which is just another tribute to Joss for the care and attention to detail that he put into our beloved series. But the over-the-air HD had commercials which disrupted the story.

6 months or more to produce a BluRay disk? Give me a break! Only Fox, I suppose....

Sorry, to vent, but this news did not improve me day.
