No you don't you can just be all "oh I didn't get the voicemail". Perfect stall tactic. And what's this "I think I got the job" stuff? Did the principal just say to call back?

I can only speak for two of us but after the party last night it was lights out at ten. I never stirred. So freaking tired. But the party was good, family was fun, and lots of food.

LOl Zeek... yeah we got trashed on hot dogs, cake, and watermelon.

Actually I think it was the frenzied cleaning of the house in the days before, the massive food prep and set up, and the clean up. Plus playing with 3 toddlers ( ok well one's 4 so not totally a toddler) and all the other stuff. ( also long couple of weeks with not much in the way of breaks in sight)

OK now I am really confused. The principal called and can't official offer me the job til he gets a hold of one of my references and he "unofficially" offered me the job and I said I wanted it, but when I got to work, they are hauling ass to get me a real contract here... I did like what was offered, but I also like it here... I think I can stall til Monday, but I will absolutely have to decide by then...eeep

Paging MsB. Paging MsB. I know it's a long shot, but if you're around...uh...how long am I supposed to let this bread concoction rise? And then for the rising the second time? Then how much do I fill up the pans for the third time? And is this portion size for a small army? Seriously I think I'm going to have bread for a year. Assuming I end up with bread.

Bread is normally - knead, leave in bowl for an hour, knead again, and put in tin(s), leave for half an hour, put in oven.

Just got given a big bag of fresh ground organic flour from an old working water mill - so next week is homemade bread with homemade strawberry jam here. (Plus homemade scones, and probably sponge cake and muffins, too.)

Then you haven't had any of my mom's homemade bread... it's wonderful... especially her garlic bread... yum. *starts drooling*

Unless using a bread machine doesn't count.

Bread machines don't count...

Zeek Anjl has it right. Let it rise, til it's double, punch it down let it rise again , punch it down and put it in pans. Let it double and bake:)

My my, MSB, I never realized making bread was so... violent.

PS. Zeek, I too have noticed this Diablo 3 news. And I'm... well I'm not that excited about it, it'll probably be in development for the rest of my college career.

Here's the result of the great bread experiment.

http://home.earthlink.net/~dwzysk/bread.html

Eh not great but breadish. It's very very crumbly. Like so much that you can't even spread butter on it really. I put honey on it this morning and that worked ok. Anyway I don't think I'll be making any bread anytime soon.

That took a ton of flour btw. Oh and the first pic is from the first failed attempt. You can see Kaylee sniffing the ingredients too :-) Didn't have enough yeast though. I assumed those little packets were 1 tbsp each. Yeah not so much.

Tastes pretty much like bread. I'm guessing during that "add some more flour" stage I needed to add even more so that it wouldn't be so crumbly. Maybe.

Also, MsB when I mix the hot water with sugar, salt and crisco I came to the conclusion that that stuff doesn't get all mixed together since the crisco didn't seem very water soluble. Right?

Right it doesn't melt or anything... and yes you need a lot more flour. It should be doughy, but not stick to your hands when you touch it... I will give you an easier recipe for bread( if you want to try again)Looks good though Zeek and not bad at all for a first attempt.

HUGS Whitefall... oh and Cartoon Network question. Why are none of the good shows ( like Boondocks)on until very late at night??

Because the so called good shows might have more adult themes and therefore are on when children are least likely to see them.
