In keeping with the theme, I love the little things a ton.

That and Little Things is also a song by Bush.

Little firsties?

Are guys the only ones being put under the microscope on these little or big things or do women need to be held to the same standards?

Edit: Zeek would also like to point out that women seem to be suggesting they like little things. Sounds like we've had this whole size matters thing backward guys.

I'd say its the little things. As an individual with not so much money...the little things are always there. Rich man that can buy gifts and so on but never does much else would be far worse than a poor man who could reassure you every day that he cares.

Unless the rich man was really old...and sick...then it might be woth taking a chance.

Zeek!

I don't know if women should be held to those standards or not, I suppose it would depend on the guy.

See big gesture is kind of by wrote as well...buy flowers, make reservations, etc

Little things are something someone noticed you needed or would appreciate ( like taking out the garbage or checking your oil to make sure it's ok) that say they are thinking of you and your well being and want you to be happy...

Grand gestures are romance and that's nice, but in my opinion, it's the little stuff that means love

Good morning Ponderers. Got my issue 3 of Better Days last night and I am as reluctant to read it as I was to watch the final disc of the BDS when I first saw it.

SO how is everyone this fine morning?

howdy Imponderables.

MsB, I'm not sure what you mean by me goin' with laconic in the last thread. That didn't really apply to the question or my answer.

Meh, I haven't gotten Better Days #2 or #3 yet. I'm behind.

I'd be careful Jimi. Seems #2 got me a slight bit misty and laughing at the same time. I'm sure #3 is going to be great.

Feelin' ya on that one Zeek. Seems I still have work to do outside, projects to finish inside, and I still have to walk the field from the shoot Sunday to check for lost equipment.

Hopefully Sunday I will get to lounge a bit.

FLT- fill an athletic sock with uncooked rice. Tie the end and microwave for 3 minutes... put it on your neck:)

Make a heating pad by filling a (clean) sock with rice and then microwaving it. Don't do it for too long, and stop it every few seconds to make sure that it isn't getting too hot. It makes a maleable heating pillow that lasts a long time, and to re-charge it, all you have to do is microwave it again.

EDIT: We posted this at almost the same time MsB.

does anyone know anything about cafepress? i wanted to make a browncoat design to put on the custom military caps they have, and the sample they show looks fine, but when i add my own image to preview it looks all funny :-\

Used them once. I was not impressed. I had a front and back image for the shirt I was making. They were similar but different and they failed to notice and printed the same image on front and back. So, I contacted them to get it fixed. They said they'd send a new one right away. I thought they lied then like a month later it finally showed up and they put it on a crappy quality t-shirt instead of the kind I ordered. Since it was for an event they way missed the boat by that point anyway.

So, yeah not a good experience.

The actual print of the image seemed fine though a little smaller than I expected. Took up less of the shirt space than I thought it would.

FLT it works like a charm and it's the best heating pad. Last hours and nit's re-usable and because of shape easy to wrap around neck, ankle etc

I buy from them all the time , but never put anything up... I suggest you PM artcat or zephyr both of them do cafepress:)

So I'm slow....about the thread topic, I always loved the line "nothing is trivial." Hence my agreement and not just in order to agree......

I think the site has sluggish moments that make me want to fetch a large caliber weapon. I have high speed cable etc so I'm pretty sure it's not that.......and my computer is practically a Cray (just kidding).

I think it may be a slow day seeing how many get Memorial day off.......speaking of-

Memorial day, for you dayshifters, remember....One Nation, One Moment. At 3 pm today remember those that have fallen with a moment of silence. No one wants to be forgotten.

Thanks FLT. I had a great time hanging out at home and doing as little as possible. Three days of that really felt good. Even went and saw Prince Caspian and was treated to a buffet dinner and a few hours discussion with an old friend and his woman. MSB seemed to have a great time too.

The conflict is probably not doing what I feel is an obligation this year. Ususally there is a strong sense of duty but I'd rather honor on my own time rather than to look good in front of everyone in my community.

Oh sure they have their uses, but sometimes ift feels like you are violating the spirit and intent of something by doing it for appearance sake.... like honoring the dead at memorial day ceremony vs. going out to the graves and placing flowers and showing respect on your own... both are valid activities, but if you're only going to the ceremony because you feel you have to because of what other people think... not so much honoring the spirit and purpose of the act

HUGS DTH..how have you been??
