Vump I guess, been voting regularly (prob only about 3-4 times a day though, sorry) but not bump/vumping....Kinda like in Midnight Blue, now I just gotta follow through...

What are you basing these nominations on? Is this for people vumping the most or something? Where do you find the info to base that on?

Actually, the Nominations Poll, at:

...is the "lower" poll of TV Vote. You can only vote for one show per hour, by entering the title into a nominating box. Folks generally do it immediately after their Top 40 vote.

Shows in the Noms can only enter the Top 40 by exceeding the current #40 shows total votes by 100. It's a way to freshen the Top 40, and to reward motivated fandoms of shows that aren't yet in the Top 40.

On this thread, some of us have shows in the Noms which we favor; I generally vary between Blood Ties and Moonlight (two vampire dramas); FreelancerTex likes John Doe; rallem backs Red Dwarf; and Jstn is our Browncoat Nimbassador from the Surface fandom. So, while we all generally nominate our faves the most, we also throw in a few votes for one another's nominee shows, as well, especially if they're close to a goal, such as Blood Ties being +/- a month from the Top 40.

Some folks, like LeopardFlan, have no particular favorites, so they cast their noms for the other shows in about an even measure. At any rate, it's encouraged to help out some nominee show when you vote in the Top 40, so as not to let a Nominations Poll vote go to waste.

To see the current Nominations totals, click on the "Nominations" link button on the control bar at the top of the TV Vote page (which also takes you to the noms voting page, then click on the "View All Nomination Daily Totals" button under the "CLICK ONCE TO VOTE" button.

#7 show Buffy got 503 (519) votes, yesterday. Currently, Buffy is receiving enough votes to pass #6 show Farscape, which received 334 (299) votes, yesterday, in 39.75 (31.3) days. #11 show Angel got 457 (487) votes, yesterday. Angel is currently receiving enough votes to pass #10 show Combat!, which received 369 (343) votes, yesterday, in 45.86 (28.64) days. Angel needs help to stage a comeback!

#15 show Babylon 5 got 354 (352) votes, yesterday, and, is on track to pass #14 show Stargate SG-1, which got 196 (207) votes, in 25.87 (29.28) days. The Babylonians could still use some shiny Browncoat help!

#29 show Dark Shadows got 361 (370) votes, yesterday, receiving enough votes to pass #28 show CSI, which got 148 (149) votes, in 2.85 (3.71) days! Let's help the Vampire flans past this obstacle, too!

#41 show (#1 in the Nominations Poll) Blood Ties got 410 (385) votes, yesterday, and is on track to pass #40 show Cleopatra 2525, which got 134 (129) votes, in 32.17 (35.77) days.

#46 show (#6 in the Nominations Poll) Moonlight got 289 (295) votes, yesterday, and will pass #45 show Rome, which got 149 (169) votes, yesterday, in .01 (1.13) days. Moonlight will be the new #45 show tomorrow!

Surface got a fantastic 218 Nominations votes, yesterday, passing 13,000 votes! That was better than 20 of the Top 40 shows got! That beat 50% of the Top 40 shows! Put another way, that would qualify Surface to end up in the Top 20 of the UPPER Poll!

Look for Surface on the "Current Top 20 Leading Nominations" list; hit the "Totals" button on the TV Vote control bar at the tip of the page, then scroll down to see a new, pretty blue bar for Surface on the "Top 20 Nominations - Current Order" graph.

It's another 961 votes to pass The West Wing, which got 10 votes, which means Surface should pass that show in just over 4 more days, give or take a day.
