Manual mornin' stats BOMP!

(With an incipient nom for La Nain Rouge!)

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote

http://www.richlabonte.net/tvvote

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html

ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble getting into the site in heavy traffic you can try an alternate address instead. I recommend bookmarking them all, for rapid transition, if you have trouble voting.

You can only nominate one show per hour, at:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations.html

Voting efficiently (i.e., with minimal time between votes, over the requisite 60 minutes) is crucial to maximizing your voting power. Download FlyVote by FlyVote (a fellow Browncoat voter, so, you know the program is good!). It'll remind you when it's time to vote, each hour: http://usbmicro.com/misc

This is a NEW version of the program, with new features, including buttons to all three "portals" to the voting page, in case one isn't working, or is overloaded, as well as a button to reset the timer, for those occasions when it gets out of sync, because you don't minimize it immediately after voting. Simply hit the reset and then minimize and you are back on a 1 hour schedule. Download it to replace the older version.

Top two shows as of this morning:

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Total votes Firefly: 600,383 (599,337)

Total votes Xena: 486,099 (485,384)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,050 (1,053) times.

Yesterday, Xenites voted 715 (672) times.

(Xenites voted 335 (381) times less than Browncoats, yesterday.

Yesterday, Browncoat votes fell by 3; Xenite votes rose by 43.

Firefly is 114,284 (113,953) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #23 show Star Trek: The Original Series 112,241. That puts us at 10,716 (11,047) votes away from a 125k vote lead, about 31.99 (28.99) days!

We got our next banner, for our next big goal, 600,000 votes, today! Shiny!

6,446,047 (6,432,439) votes have been counted as of 03/27/08. Yesterday, 13,608 (12,993) votes were cast. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast in that period, we needed to vote 1,361 (1,300) times, of which we fell short by 311 votes. Our share fell to 9.3139719% (9.3174145%) of all votes ever cast. Our share of the voting pie remains at 9%.

The Easter doldrums seem to be largely behind us. Most stunningly, Jericho got 1,010 votes, yesterday! We need to be wary; we don't need the Rangers usurping us as top-scoring show! We need to rise to meet this new challenge!

-Tallymister Raycheetah =^[.]^=

In other TV Vote news (shows whose voters also support Firefly and the Whedonverse, so, let's return the favor, shall we?):

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 593 (526) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to overtake #4 show, Gunsmoke, which got 359 (318) votes, yesterday, in 159.9 (161.8) days. BSG is also in pursuit of the 5th Hall of Fame slot, and, is 13,812 (14,405) votes, and, 23.29 (27.39) days, away!

#7 show Buffy got 560 (565) votes, yesterday. Currently, Buffy is receiving enough votes to pass #6 show Farscape, which received 384 (373) votes, yesterday, in 90.57 (83.94) days. Buffy is also in pursuit of the 6th Hall of Fame slot, and, is 41,262 (41,822) votes, and, 73.68 (74.02) days, away, while Farscape is 65.94 (69.91) days from getting there, first.

Buffy's no longer ahead in the Hall of Fame race, but, she's very close!

#10 show Angel got 491 (469) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to pass #9 show Combat!, which received 408 (377) votes, yesterday, in 120.75 (109.84) days. (#11 show Jericho got 1,010 (977) votes, and, is currently receiving enough votes to pass Angel in 5.57 (6.71) days. What can ya do? The Jericho Rangers are on the warpath, now that their show has been cancelled!)

#33 show Dark Shadows got 425 (394) votes, and, is currently on track to pass #32 show, Star Trek: DS9, which received 251 (248) votes, yesterday, in 1.18 (2.6) days.

Thanks, again, for your time, and, for your support of these great shows!

P.S.: For those who are interested in Moonlight in the Nominations Poll:

#50 show (#10 in the Nominations Poll) Moonlight Total votes 24,927 (24,604)

Moonlight got 323 (359) votes, yesterday, not passing any shows. It will take at least 5.39 (6) more days to pass Wagon Train.

AND...

Heroes 6246
Surface 6178

As predicted, no pass on Heroes, yet, but, 173 Nominations votes! Ruttin' amazin'!

Just a reminder... Jericho is making the fanatical push of fans whose show has just been canceled. Sympathetic though I may be to our Ranger brethren, with whom we have so very much in common, I would sooner not see a day come when they get more votes than we do!

Get the word out that the Rangers are coming, and, for the pride of the Independents, we must remain the top-scoring show VOMP!

Morning everyone (well, it is here LOLOL)

VOMP (Surface) x 2 this morning.

Upcoming John Doe support

Couldn't get here to post last night, but I kept VOMPing until midnight. Got in 19 yesterday.

Before I go any further, I want to extend a special thank you to my friends and fellow Browncoats who helped us set a new record yesterday. You guys rock.

The Surface Daily Report

Yesterday we got 173 Nominations A brand new record. Fantstic job everyone.

Heroes received only 20 Noms, so today will be their takedown day. I will be celebrating that, however before we get too comfortable, you may remember yesterday I said some of the shows which have actual voting campaigns are probably aware of our rise.

I'm willing to bet on that now, as three shows coming up soon, nearly doubled their totals yesterday. Nip/Tuck got 14 the day before but yesterday got 36. Dresden Files 50, then 98, and most troubling Miracles, which had gotten 79 the day before, got 150 yesterday.

We are in for a battle with those folks, so stay on it. We can't afford any more bad days for a while.
We also have a huge gap to get to the Dresden Files anyway. We must stay on it and round up more help if possible. (Have them sign up at savesurface, so they receive this Daily Report as well)

Miracles 6887 (79) (150)
The Dresden Files 6854 (50) (98)
Nip/Tuck 6234 (14) (36)
--------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------
Please note: I am using a new format for diplaying the shows targetted..

The number in parentheses, next to each show, is the previous day's nom total (if available)
Between each show, is the number of noms to the next show.
