I ain't a big anime fan, hell I don't even like it minus Wicked City & Ninja Scrolls...& Pokemon (kidding). But one of my best best friends forced me to check out this anime themed/forum/messenger/social network/virtual world called Gaiaonline ( www.gaiaonline.com).

Its basically just a giant forum, since that's where most of the action takes place. When you sign up for an account, you get to choose an avatar which you can dress with items from the Gaia Shops. You can earn gold by playing games in the virtual world or posting on the forums, and use the gold to purchase more expensive items for your avatar. In the virtual world you can play games & buy a house, while your there people can talk to you so its a bit like a 3d messenger. Hell you can even watch for free some tv shows & movies in the cinema section. It's a very addictive site.

Its supposedly the largest forum on the Internetwith over a million posts made daily, over a billion posts total,and over 2.5 million unique users each month. Though I ain't sure I believe the million posts a day bit. There's a forum for everybody there, Movies, Anime, Books, Computers, Games, Technology, Love Life, Sports, Music. etc.

Currently their are a few Firefly/Serenity guilds, the one I belong to has over 600 members. There are plenty of Firefly fans on their. Only this morning did a post pop up about Firefly, & yesterday I mentioned Firefly as a cancelled show which should have never been cancelled & I got called the only guy which makes sense in the topic. I try my best to mention Firefly & Serenity where I can. I think its a great place to sign up new Browncoats & spread the word.

I used to be on there. It was rubbish. Elitist, childish, emo anime junkies, most of whom couldn't be more than fourteen, talking about how great and original it was to wear the clown nose and the buck teeth, and if you wore the wrong shoes you were completely lame. It was like junior high all over again. Playing dress-up stopped outweighing the bullshit so I never went back. I doubt it's changed enough to entice me again, flans or no flans.

You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one.
