I'm just throwing this out there to see what everyone else would think: what would Mal think/say/do if he found out that Inara was thinking of him while with other clients? Personally, I think he would be in shock for quite a while, then question why she was leaving.

I don't think Mal would take Inara seriously to be honest. He's pretty dense sometimes...or well most of the time.

When there are no heroes where will we turn?

Uh-huh. Yeah. Sure. Not seeing the funny here. Does your wife know that you're a real hun dun? 'Cause I think she should be told.

LMAO...ahhh good times. My wife laughed when I told her that, seems you two like to both think I can be a bastard, however I hope you're not serious. If I have offended you it was unintentional, I assure you. As I have explained on other parts of the forum I am terrible to read sometimes as I am horribly hard to read, no pun intended. So again if I offended you, I apologize.

PhyreLight,

If it is a Rhetorical question, doesn't that mean we are not supposed to answer it.

Issue 1 and Issue 2

Edit:
Isn't it cool how Inara is looking at Mal.

I properly used the word "rhetorical", just not in a conventional way.
Quote:

rhetorical: 3. of, concerned with, or having the nature of rhetoric. ( http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rhetorical)

rhetoric: 6. the art of making persuasive speeches; oratory.( http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rhetoric)

And ironically, I'm not going to write out this long speech about why I used the word "rhetorical" b/c I took a rhetoric class last semester, and I'm tired of making long-winded speaches. Which is why I just threw the definitions out there and gave short answers. (It may also be why I'm not taking any classes this semester. Either that or my bad health. Who knows?)... And, I'm not expecting anyone to give a long answer, btw.

Also, the question wasn't "does Inara have a thing for Mal?" It is "what would Mal think/say/do if he found out that Inara was thinking of him while with other clients?" The picture doesn't answer it.

You're right. I was offended. Particularly because I do not like to be spoken to (or even looked at) as if I am being objectified. Especially from a married men because it shows me that you hold little or no respect for yourself, myself, and your wife.

However, since you did apologize, then I accept it, but please don't do it again.

I wasn't trying to answer the question with the pic and statement below it. I edited it to word it differently. I just think a post about Serenity Better Days needs a pic of the covers that fit together to form one big picture.

About the question. Shock. Speechless for a bit. Then say like Whaaaat? When you're....verry funny, Inara.

Or maybe the guy Inara is with tells Mal after capturing Mal. Then it is like Shock. Speechless for a bit. Wonder if is true. Decide it is not. All expressions Nathan Fillion can do very well. Then Mal says something like Are you trying to torture me?

It makes me think of another question. Is Joss going to show Mal's Inara dream/fantasy in the comics? Same drawing but Inara on top?

Issue 3
Don't ya love how River made a paper chain out of cashy money and a paper Firefly spaceship.

lol, Phyrelight, I actually respect my wife very much and myself very much. Part of the reason I married my wife is that she is very strong willed. The tone of what I said was meant to be more playful than flirtatious or treating you as an object. If I was truly a dirty scoundrel, why would I have even brought up my wife? In this environment I could easily just not mention it and get away with it just fine. I am also going to step out on a limb and imagine that you are assuming I'm some dirty old man, trying to hook up with a young college girl, trust me I'm not, however your abrasive nature is still amusing to me, because I really didn't understand why you would be upset until my wife had said you could take what I said as a bad pick up line. I assure you any perceived objectification that you might see from me is most likely not meant so obtrusively. I was actually giving you a compliment, so when you took it to be offensive I didn't understand.

I'm pretty sure Mal would just incessantly make fun of her for it. He tends to do that.

PLATONIST

surprised, thrilled, confused, and cautious?... until he got the courage to ask, "Why did you leave?" because she spins him about...and eventually and hopefully he will get more aggressive and Joss will stop writing him like a whipped puppy dog with sad eyes that gets laid only on his Birthday.

And, I have a feeling that Mal's fantasy will come at the end of the comic series, if at all, and it will include Inara, but not necessarily the graphic sex part.
