As we all know and hate, Wash gets killed in Serenity. UrrrGHHHH.

Im wondering if the comic book series Serenity: Those Left Behind was produced into film, would you watch it? If you would, would you prefer a Mini-Series or another full blown Movie. If you dont know what Serenity: Those Left Behind comics series is. It was a series released by Joss Whedon to fill in the gap of Firefly and Serenity. Ive also heard that they might write a series called "Shepards Tale".

Although Those Left Behind is a good tale I'd like to see something with a lot more meat in it.

A movie would be superb. A series would be excellent. More of the nine travelers would warm my heart.

It would be neat as a mini-series, though I don't think there is enough there to make more than 1 or 2 episodes.

Here's what I've seen about Shepherd's Tale, though it's already March and I haven't really heard much about it recently:

It has been recently confirmed that Joss Whedon will re team with Brett Matthews to write Serenity: Better Days for Dark Horse comics to be released in March of 2008 as we see what happens when a heist goes right and the crew finds themselves on easy street. "This new story will take place in the 'Firefly' years i.e., everyone's alive," says Whedon. "Basically, they pull off a heist and everything doesn't go completely wrong. This, needless to say, has never happened, and it's about how they deal with success."

Serenity: Better Days #1 is released on Wednesday, March 12th. You can view it and pre-order it along with the others here:

From what I've heard, Shepherd's Tale is a Book story rumored by Ron Glass on the Browncoat Cruise. One can only assume that it will give some of his backstory, but there is no release date or other information yet.

I don't hate Wash's death. I think it was probably the best part of the movie (the first time around). It added so much suspense. It kept me on the edge of my seat for the rest of the movie and really made everything that happened to our BDHs seem like it might be fatal.

Now that that's out of the way, no I don't want to see those left behind on film. I thought it was pretty disappointing really. Just seemed like a glorified "last time on Firefly" type clip segment. "oh by the way some stuff happened real quick" doesn't make a good movie IMO.

What I really want is the show back on TV. If I can't have that a mini series would be great. If I can't have that more movies are fine. If I can't have that then I guess I'll buy more comic books.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I'd like to see it on film, though I don't think it could be a mini series or a movie. It would make a decent episode of Firefly. Maybe if it were expanded a bit, it could be two. but dude, that zero-G fight would be awesome.

You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one.
