I've not heard about much upcoming from Joss for a long while now.. wonder what he's been doing?

The man is too damn brilliant to not have new shows/movies coming out frequently.

I miss new Joss stuff..

Well, he spent the last few months on the picket line for the writer's strike, and now that that bit of fun is over, he's hopefully hard at work writing "Dollhouse", the new series for Fox starring Eliza Dushku.

As far as where Joss is in hell, I haven't seen him down here, and as one of the Forsaken from the first thread or two, I should know

So who is he?
He's my husband.
Well who in the damn galaxy ain't!

He's working on a new TV series Called "Dollhouse" it stars Faith the Vampire Slayer aka Eliza Dushku as Echo, a member of a group of men and women who are imprinted with different personalities for different assignments. In between tasks they are mind-wiped, living like children in Dollhouse, a futuristic dorm/lab. They have no memories of their previous lives, until Echo begins to try to find out who she was.

If you're itching for more Joss news, you can also see some about Dollhouse over here.

He's the hell at Marvel. And Darkhorse.

He hasn't done much in the way of TV or movies, but when it comes to comics the last two years have been full of Whedony goodness.

Apart from beginning the eigth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in comic format with Dark Horse comics, Whedon is just concluding a 24 issue (and much celebrated) run of Astonishing X-Men with Marvel comics. He's also finishing up a six issue run of Runaways, also with Marvel. Given how popular he's proven with Marvel readers, it's very likely there'll be other contracts in the future, whenever Buffy season 8 leaves him free.

Yep, I bet he's hyped up on coffee as we post, writing the next best damn thing.

Though you have to worry....New series...favourite actors/writers/producers.....7 episodes....F*X....is it too early to start the campaign to bring Dollhouse back?!

You are beholden to no man

the new woulda-shoulda-coulda-been soon-to-be-cancelled series for Fox

Fixed that for you.

Interesting premise, reminds me a bit of Gunslinger Girls.
The whole mind-wipe thing is a lot like GSG's "Conditioning Process".

Good stuff, and without one whit of the perversity or fanservice the genre is known for, but I warn thee... sweet in a strange kinda way, it's bawl your eyes out sad, in fact, it's a lot like chug-a-lugging candy coated razor blades to watch it.

Still, I find it hard to generate interest in something I firmly believe F*X is gonna cancel before it even gets off the ground.

It's become self-fulfilling prophecy now... everyone knows they're gonna can it, nobody bothers to watch, and the F*X pennypinchers look at the ratings, crap a brick and throw it under the bus.

So forgive me if I can't really "get it up" for this one...
Eliza, on the other hand, is another matter entire!

I hated Buffy, but I always loved Faith, ten times the slayer that sanctimonious little prigg ever was, and five times as human.

I'm kind of anxious to see what Fox does with the new Terminator series. If they renew it, then maybe there is still hope for them.

Joss is very busy writing. He has Better Days, Astonishing X-Men, Buffy 8, and Runaways. Plus, he has to work up sides and a pilot for Dollhouse.

Me too! Buffy, Wil, and Xander could no wrong but everyone else got their asses chewed for even thinking of placing a toe out of place. Thhbt.

Important people don't do field work.

You might want to go back and see a few of the choice things Giles had to say to Xander early on....mostly for doing things that Giles had already done himself.

Willow got it a little bit, but nothing on the level of what Xander did.

C'mon. Faith was the bad girl for a reason. Yes, they overreacted over the fact that she killed someone, (or did they), but, the effort for rehabilitation was there. It sure was.
