Firefly showing on Aussieland Sci-fi Channel?

Read a report on Nathan's myspace (Nathan Fillion has 41572 friends) that Firefly is showing on Aussieland/OZ Sci-Fi Channel.

True?

Is this the first time Firefly has shown in OZ?

I don't know if it is true or not. But I have a feeling FireFly was shown here a few years back. I think it was given the traditional Sci-Fi Free to Air TV slot of post midnight vewing though.

Indeed it did show here a few years ago on free-to-air televion. It was on the 7 network at about 12:30am on Monday nights (Tuesday morning, whatever).

after that initial run, it was taken over to cable channel FOX8, and shown on and off (the series would run maybe 2-3 times a year in a variety of ways) until it was only recently taken by the Sci-Fi channel a little while ago, and they seem to show it pretty regularly, and in a regular timeslot to boot (7:35pm, Tuesday nights).

So Firefly has been playing pretty much all the time down here.
