Writers strike got you down?

Depressed that it's been five years since the Firefly originally aired?

Can't wait until March for the new comic to come out?

Well, then you might want to take a look at our site over at www.stillflying.net. If you're not already familiar with us, we're a virtual series dedicated to the continuation of Firefly in the form of episode-length scripts. Starting in December 2005, we finished out Season One with 7 new episodes, and then went to work on a second season that takes the basic story of the Serenity motion picture and imagines how it might have played out over the course of 22 episodes.

We had a bit of a bog down earlier this this, but we're prepped to come back next week with the first of the last four episodes of Season Two. Now is a great time to head over to www.stillflying.net and catch up on any episodes you might have missed.

Happy holidays, and keep flying!

George

Hey everyone. Just giving everyone another wave from the project. *waves*

I'm a proofreader (editor is pushing it) for Virtual Firefly, and believe me, the episodes coming up are going to be some very good writing with an almost-Joss* blend of action and emotion.

As of what's been published, the crew just landed on Miranda, but don't assume that you know everything that's happened just because you've seen Serenity (and who here hasn't). We've added so much in in the episodes between Firefly's last episode and the movie. Not to mention all of the stuff we've added into the movie itself! Well, I'm rambling now, and I better stop. Just go check us out at www.stillflying.net.

*DISCLAIMER: Joss, as far as we know, has nothing to do with the project. He might be using Gwek as a puppet.
No, seriously, Joss has absolutely no affiliation with the project, although it's possible he knows about it.

WOOT!

I'd like to add a thumbs-up from a fan's PoV. Virtual Firefly is awesome!

By FAR the best-written, most un "fan-fic"-y collection you're going to find. I tend to shy away from fan-fic as well..it usually is really really bad (my apologies to those that have produced), but the folks at www.stillflying.net produce works on a completely different level. The stories are great, the writing and language is very close to true FF canon, and they don't fall into the classic fan-fic blunder of "let's make everything we want to happen, happen...ALL AT ONCE!"

Take some time and head over to check it out, its well worth it!

I'll second that. If you're taking the time to read and enjoy fan created fic these shouldn't be missed.

The writers have taken enormous amounts of time and discussion on interpreting the canon, and Joss's interviews and comments to painstakingly write the second season.

The characterizations are spot on as is the over all tone of the show. I check all the time for updates.
