I'm working right now on a fairly ambitious concept project based around Firefly for an Interactive Entertainment class. I'm fortunately not required to have original graphics, so long as I cite my sources (which I haven't done yet in all cases, but it's far from done). I'd like to see if anyone could help me proofread it and offer any suggestions or even assistance on the graphical side for the areas where I can't just pull something that I find online.

Anyone interested can see it here: http://sulley.dm.ucf.edu/~jwalker/, and browse around the site. If you see a page that looks just like the front page, it merely means I haven't gotten to that one yet, so don't worry about those. Anything with unique content on it, however, should be in or near it's final state as far as I'm concerned, so fixing any mistakes is a fairly high priority for me.

Thanks in advance!

That was pretty cool. Yeah, lots of stuff you need to do to finish it. Where did you get the 'verse map by the way? I've never seen that before. Good luck.

I take it this is a sort of Game Design Document, not so much something that the end user will ever see. You're right - it is a bit ambitious. But that's a good thing.

It would appear that you have a good idea of what you're doing already, but Multiverse has a bunch of resources on their site. They're geared towards mmorpgs, but still useful.

So Wash and Book are still alive? Or are they just mentioned?

The events from the movie weren't enough to start a war, if you ask me. Things like that happen all the time in our day, and nothing comes of it (watch the news sometime). Mal has always talked about wanting to be left alone. I would probably start with the Alliance coming after Serenity, and starting a war that Mal is forced to fight.

I'm not clear on how some of these things will be made into something tangible. The Playground of the Mind is cool, but how will that translate for the end user? Cuz we're a little short on hologram technology. Or is this all hypothetical? You did mention a release date of 2020, which, as near as I can tell, is as soon as you could consider releasing this if you started building today.

Anyway, those are some thoughts I had. It's good stuff. Here's a few links for pics that might help.

This isn't one game concept project, but rather a concept project that includes two games (the "Video Game" section and the "RPG" section), and also a theme park, a playground, and other venues that will be co-located. The playground and the video game use future technology, which our teacher requires us to involve in at least one of these venues. The story section is unrelated to the video game except in the general sense, though ya'll are right about the war, I wasn't sure what to put and was getting tired. I'll probably reword that, but it actually doesn't factor into anything in the project.
