Why not just take caffeine pills, then? One No-Doz contains as much caffeine as a cup and a half of coffee.

Mornin' folks. Seems there has been a bit of a struggle with the Me's lately. Seems It is subsiding a bit, but not quite sure where to go. Ever struggle with the person you were and never want to be again? I'm told mt kharma is paid in full and then some, but I just struggle with never going back. How many of our actions can be justified until it reaches a point of no return?

Meh, screw it. Got too much to do than to dwell upon the past. Probably leaving in a bit to get some work done at home. Plenty to do when I come back this evening. Hope to see some of ya then.

Firstly because I don't like to take pills, secondly because I had a friend get addicted to those, and 3rdly because I actually don't mind the taste of coffee with flavored creamer. Tho I still chew the gum after to avoid coffee breath.

My philosophy on life, dear, is whatever happened to you (especially the crappy shyte) gets you to the next place. I look at some of the stuff I've done, and has been done to me, and I shudder. But, I love where I am NOW...so, I'll not spend time on regrets. That's a waste of precious time and energy! Keep it shiny, NV. Be the one you know we love!!!

Just reflecting on daunting tasks in front of me. Consider every option. There are just certain options I'd rather not even let cross my mind. Looking for the shiny side, it was just a very long night for me.

I get into a mode every now and then just to fit myself back into a mindset. Now it is defensive mode, little sleep, eating small meals throughout the day, little caffine (which may be effecting me), and no alcohol. Aside from the little sleep it is actually a pretty healthy pattern. Problem is that the relaxation factor is in the crapper and the only relief is vigorous sex.

Crap. Now I'm really depressed.

Looking back, it ain't that bad. I have the drive and ability to do better and gorrammit it's time to quit whining and get to work.

On the ponderables:

month long vacation: a remote cabin in the mountains with snow, my wife and NO kids!

Favorite hero: haven't watched it all the way yet(2 episodes into season 1), so I don't know. I 'd like to be the painter who can paint the future, but without the heroin addiction.

Nothing's going to change. You've been exactly the same since I've been peering into these threads over the last year and a half or so.

I swear, NVG, we could set a clock by you.

(Some people may consider that insulting, though it's not meant to be.) So, I ask again: why bother? Additionally if these "friends" of yours - the ones that you wouldn't mind fucking - are over the age of consent, they're perfectly capable of making their own choices without you trying to be everybody's conscience.

Woman, I otta...

Hug ya 'til ya pop.

Thank you. No bullshit with this one. That's why the words of HK are so impactful. I don't have to rely on any conscience but my own.

Actually feels pretty good to say that. The problems of other people are not my own and I should not bear the burden of them.

Phew. I said that out loud and self actualized. Feel better now.

You say the right thing HK and folks hate the truth. Screw 'em. Ain't no time to be pussy footin' about.

Hi All. 'scuse me for a min while I deal a bit...

*THWAPS NVG in the head with a fuzzy kloo(tm)(r)(c)* May I point out that some folk still can get their hugs and snuggles and face time with the one they adore whilst some of us are 4k miles apart (oh, yeah...that makes even the ability to hug a bit challenging). *HUGS* (1)
You'll do fine with dealing with the daunting tasks NVG, plus, from the way it sounds, you can see the rewards waiting at the end....(Plus "what HK said")

*brushes off dust*
Coffee: Mocha good, Thai coffee just as good (shot of condensed milk instead of chocolate). 'Course, I do like my regular coffee, and even my diet cola, so I'm guessing that I'm a bit of a caffine fiend...(All those, plus for a good buzz I'll have some chocolate covered espresso beans...yep...caffine is my friend. )

MsG!! *mock shock* You know you're not supposed to talk about the "smart pills." (It's in the microfine print in all teacher contracts.) 'Sides, everyone knows that it's actually delivered as a shot in the....(WHOOPS!) (2)

Women bein' appreciated for bein' themselves (gussied up or not) is always welcome. I'm guessing that the guys enjoy the same too. ('course most of the guys I know seem to think that "dressing up" means anything fancier than jeans and a t-shirt...)

Gorram: Waking up next to the right person...mmm...always of the good. Messy hair, bleary-eyed...throw in a warm smile, a cuddle, and a "g'morning" and it's probably one of the best ways to start the day....(throw in breakfast in bed and we're talking about a definite keeper.)

HK!!! Wait! Wait! You forgot the shiny cans of properly chilled 'Dew and the icecream sandwiches...and gorramit, I think a whole buncha us are well-trained ninjakitty followers

MsG: Assembly? TWO observations? Testing and email is down?! *jaw drops* That's just.... *hugs MsG* At least your day's nearly over right? (and failing that, at least tomorrow starts the lovely 3-day weekend...).

Okay...day is nearly over...right? right?

(1) Yes, it has been that kind of week where I would love to actually be able to go, find, hug and/or do more to/with my geek.
(2) And if you believe that one, I've got some fee-simple oceanfront property off the big island of Hawaii for sale...$1 an acre.

ETA: Holy!! KEL!! *glomps Kelkhil, then puts the blame on RIMG* *wonders what the thread did to earn such a shiny reward of Kel and HK on the same thread in the same day*

Yes, HK still exists. She's the one that finds comments like yours tedious, insofar as: she may or may not be Schrödinger's HK, but her existance or nonexistance does not depend upon your observance or non-observance of her. She has very little patience, is more often than not in a foul mood these days, and rarely ever rambles on in the third person like she is now. CK, on the other hand, is the face we display when we want to show kindness, patience, and extra sweet awesomeness. The excellence that is Mavourneen lies somewhere in between.

Dressed up for me is either a tie or a full suit of some sort. I wear khakis and polos (sometimes t-shirts) to work, so that's not dressing up.

I appreciate women no matter what they wear. I love the 'gust got out of bed' look (usually it means that I am too ), and I can appreciate the time they put into gettin' gussied up.

We figure that whenever she is done doing the deed, the hymen would regenerate, just like the rest of her body. That would imply that there is a mess and a bit of pain every time she does it.

...which is where you very well could be wrong.
Do not fear the hymen! (?!?) Lemme sum up: (1) not all break as a vast many are elastic enough to "move out of the way" just like any of the other fleshy, stretchy bits (2) many, many women do not bleed when popping the cherry, which leads back to #1, (3) many simply naturally get larger openings as the female grows from infancy and estrogen levels increase, therefore it wouldn't be "in the way" in the first place to chance breaking, (4) a bit of pain is not necessarily a bad thing, anyway, and (5) pain and mess isn't even necessarily involved due to some of the above reasons.

Yes.
I stopped lurking momentarily to talk about hymens.
Specifically, Claire's hymen from Heroes.
Would it surprise anyone to know that this doesn't even register as "marginally odd" on my scale of typical conversations? ((snerk))
