The thread was approaching 200, so I started a new one.

Here's the old one:

I can't think of a new ponderable right now, so y'all just talk amongst yourselves.

Ponderable: If you could go any one place for a month long vacation, where would it be?

For myself, I'd go to the British Isles. I've always loved the history there, the culture, and wanted to see and experiance all of it. England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland.. see them all.

Ok I have a ponderable...

Which Hero are you?? OK I realize that a few of you might not have discovered how great Heroes is, but for those who have...which one are you?

Much as I'd love to say Claire or that adorable girl who could persuade... I'm pretty much Jessica.

Never watched Heroes so I'll just go with "the evil guy". There's gotta be an evil guy and I'd so be evil if I had a super power. It's not my fault that power corrupts.

MsG I feel so dirty. I went to first Sunday with the Austin browncoats and finally introduced myself to our local "browncoat famous" leader, Beth. I'd sent her emails before and talked to her on the austin message board and she was like "oh so you're Zeek *hugs*". icky hug cooties!

I'd go to Amsterdam for a month, hands down. I could visit other parts of Europe, but would spend the majority of my time out of my head. I think I need that.

If I had to pick a Hero that I am close to being like, it would be Claire, as I heal faster than most people I know (though I don't have her problem of a constantly regenerating hymen, thankfully). If I could pick any of them, well, obviously I'd pick Peter, because of the range of his ability. Picking specific powers, though, I think I'd prefer to have Hiro's, or maybe Micah's. Personality-wise I am a lot closer to Parkman, though, especially with his uncertainty and such.

Come on guys. Leave Zeek alone. He will learn to love hugs when he meets the girl he can't keep his hands off of. Other than that, you can live life just fine not hugging. So sayeth Rugbug from real life experience.

Hrmmm, I don't really know which Hero I'm like. I rarely get sick, so maybe some Claire-ishness, there's some Jessica in there somewhere, and maybe a little Micah.

I'd love to have some of the new girl..Monique? It would be awesome to learn things just by watching them once.

In awesome dress news...I decided to try the craptastic department store. And, as I had posited, it was the typical assortment of dresses in the typical colors. Knowing that trying stuff on is important, I just grabbed anything that looked interesting, including one lone dress from the sales rack that seemed to be the only one of its style in the store. It was a size smaller than I would've like, but there's no harm in trying it on.

Turns out it was quite cute, so I decided to buy it...as well as another that looks okay, but is predictable. The sales rack dress had no sales price on it, so I went to the register to ask if it was indeed on sale and for what price. You could've knocked me over with a feather when the salesgirl told me. A big whopping $15. Heh. So now I will do a happy dance all week (I need to work off some calories because it's a smidge too tight). I love it when a plan comes together...or something like that.

Perfectly acceptable Zeek. I like that idea more and more as time goes on. Seems a bit of emotional safeguard is not always a bad thing. I can also see how "other" physical expression can be seperated from simple hugs.

Oh gosh. Considering a hug boycott (excluding immediate family).

Payroll day. Yay!. It's all good. Three day weekend next week. Maybe I'll get some rest. I absolutely love the idea of being out of my head for an extended vacation. Might have to join ya in happy land Jimi.

Props on the dress discovery 'Bug. It is kinda like this sweater my mom got me for Christmas two years ago. Didn't wear the thing for almost a year and that following fall I put it on due to a sudden chill. Little did I know I actually liked the gorram thing. Sitting in my chilly office wearing it right now. Who'da thunk.

Howdy everyone. Conflict with self as usual. Keep it to myself. Seems I'd be in here all day explaining.

God luck on that hon. Seems I considered a different job lately but security seems to be a big thing for me right now so the thought will have to wait for a bit. As for the Hero role, I never thought of it. Seems finishing season one is in order soon. Marvel heroes are a whole different story. I always favored Millers Daredevil. Real to a fault, product of his surroundings, total anti-hero to his core. Someone who has all the makings and reasons to be a villian but seems to stay on the side of justice with little question as to why.

Ponderance: I have struggled with a questionj lately and I wondered if anyone had some input. I stayed away (sexually)from alot of the girls I was friends with growing up. Seems I always carried guilt because of the actions of other people. I know what happened to some of them and it felt I would be taking advantage of the situation, even then. Now that they are older, a few of them are healthier, a few of them are worse, and I am still stuck in the middle. Now, there have been a few women I know nothing about leaning in my direction and that guilt has subsided. Strangely I am considering celibacy again. Is there any advice that could help me stay on the non-romp path?

Well, you could devote yourself to me and me alone. I can't afford to visit, and you can't afford to come here. Hence many long, lonely nights. Enjoy!

The first thing and most important I think, would be WHY you are going celibate. You have to really sit and determine the reasons why you'd make that choice in the first place, make sure they are for 'good' reasons to yourself. If you have reasoned out why you want to it should be easier to keep with what you want to do.

In other words, you inspire yourself to abstain because of your own reasoned out logic. For instance that's how I finally forced my self to stop eating snacks when I can't really budget for the calories (for instance, there is bday cake here today at work, but I'm not going to have any even though I REALLY want too), or buying things I have a hungry urge for (like double bacon cheese burgers) because I finally forced my self onto the path of weight loss and exercise and since it's actually working I don't want to screw it up.

Ok, rambling reply but I hope that helps.

I don't know. Promises from the whimsical Hippie might make me put myself further in debt just for a plane ticket and pesos to travel on.

Really though it was explained to me by my buddy John that it might be beneficial to put away my weapons for a while just to be sure the right decisions can be made. Seems My only partner still wants something other than friendship from me and, yes, I do too. But there is an unhealthy patter related to both of us and the fashion at which we express our want. Just seems we are substituting one bad thing with another and that ain't good for either of us. I'm already looking about and realized that I have rejected some fine possibles for relationships and turned away a few possibles for less relationshipy sorts of things all for someone who can only commit to my lovin' and the way I lay it down. It isn't healthy and I want my friend back. So yeah MrG, I thought of why I want to go down that road. I'm not completely satisfied and want this terrible aching to subside. Seems that is a focus of mine throughout the day.

Muahah. Such a great movie. Probably ranks in my top 10 films of all time.

EDIT: what is funny is the line about him being "some kind of Basque whacker". For the longest time MsG and I thought he said "Bass quacker" and we couldn't figureout wtf they were talking about. God bless captions.
