Depends on what the lack of control is, for me. I've gone to a local windy/tourist spot and just stand there imaginging the wind taking all the problems away...I tend to turn to my friends (the ones who'll help me hide th' bodies -- or at least help provide me with an alibi) and talk, play a video game that's mind-numbing or fairly violent, find the ironoic humor in the situation, stuff like that...

...in actuality, I probably become an evil, low-tolerant (of fools and the like), bitter, isoloationistic biyatch, while I try to keep my head down and muddle through the whole thing...

RIMG, too many folk will hunt you down if you do anything foolish. Can you take a "mental health" day or two where you focus on relaxing/recovering some of your calm? *BEARHUGS Jimi*

...adding more here *waves to MrG* I agree with MrG. Finding something that brings back some "small-kid-time" comfort is also always of the good too.

Mornin' folks. Been a busy few days (months) and I'm glad to be back despite being tired. Wearing new pants and a new t-shirt under my Dickies shortsleeve. Hoping to get some socks at lunchtime. Few things feel finer than a new pair of socks, one of my top comforting things.

Went to the family house in Carson City this weekend. The lady that lives there was with my uncle Steven for quite a while and he left it to her. My uncle Lelin and I cut wood on the south side of Gardnerville for her winter supply. Passed the ranch I lived at for a while as a small child. Seems it might be the house in my dreams that I can never quite find IRL. Seeing that place in Gardnerville is also soothing.

After unloading the wood I spent some time walking around the Carson house taking in as much as possible. It all still smells the same. The house is very old and was originally a two room house. It is really below modern housing standards but it seems to be holding up just fine. All around the outside of the house is vegitation. Since I was small there has been a loss of two apple trees, one pine tree, two elm trees, and a very large lilac bush. Still there is so much to look at and smell in the yard. This time Autumn leaves, moist and decomposing was the primary smell. When a breeze oicked up I could smell grapes on a vine on the other side of the house. If it were a month or so earlier I could have pulled Elderberry off the branch for a great snack. I remembered being small, but being fearless. Something really hit me that day that I am yet to explain. Right now that is my number two comforting thought.

Number one is the ability to hold any number of people and to have the ability to tell them that I love them. Seems I'd been lost for so long that being able to feel and say that were far away thoughts too unattainable for me to consider. Now it is all I want.

Very bad thing. Just ate a bear claw stuffed with apple pie filling.I don't know what's worse: eating the whole thing or knowing where I can get more.

Pastries, might as well be crack.

Isn't it interesting how 1 missing letter makes things different?
My bro-in-law is starting a new add on to his in-laws business. It is a T-shirt printing machine. My wife was chatting with him in WOW about doing designs, and the "r" key on the keyboard isn't working too well, so she was talking about making T-shit designs. When it came up on the chat window, because of the profanity filter, it was comic books symbols of course, and we had no idea what she was talking about.

EDIT: To say something on topic, to relax I play spider solitare, or WOW, or just sit in front of the veg tube and watch sitcoms. No brain needed!

Actually I'd forgotten all about it until my friend reminded me on Monday. I'm worried that this year will be a letdown though. I mean last year we got the sexy devil girl waitress who was like the hottest waitress there. She was behind the hostess of course but you can't get her as a waitress so pretty much we hit the waitress jackpot. Don't think we'll be that lucky two years in a row.
