Hey, ya know....

....last time he was on Ferguson, he was promoting 'Waitress'....what might he be promoting this time, I wonder?? Ain't sayin' we should get our hopes up, but I don't think I can resist holding my breath until the show's over.

Kinda funny though, as I thought Ferguson sort of resented Nathan getting a lot of the attention his first time on. Wonder why he brought him back?

Hmmmmmm....most curious. Rampant rumors of a sequelishous nature...no quashing from Joss... silence is deafening...Nathan was posting at least once a month on his Myspace page...haven't had a blog from him in a while (yes, could be due to his very, very busy schedule...)...the BDH's will be appearing at two conventions prior to this appearance on C.Ferg....so...what, indeed will they discuss...Hmmmmm

Maybe Nathan is still promoting Waitress, according to Nixflix it will come out to DVD on Nov, 7th. I hope its something about BDM 2 but... we will see!

Couldn't he also be appearing to talk about his appearance on Desperate Housewives?
The gals from the show don't seem to do much on the talk-show circuits -- especially late night.
I remember James Denton doing a run of all the late-night shows a while back to promote DH.
I guess now instead of the sexy plumber, we get the sexy ob/gyn.
Doesn't matter WHY he's on, just that I'll get to see him. His last appearance was hilarious.
Will there be another appearance by our Frisky Browncoats too?

Frisky Browncoats Unite! You have nothing to
lose but part of an afternoon. Oh, and the
travel time. From wherever. Oz, the Maldives...

Once again let us have as much screaming as
the Conan fans gave *him* in SF when he took
the show there for a visit. The FBs matched
it last time.

Craig Ferguson won't mind a bit if the FBs
turn out, as he knows it's an indicator that
there are also little wet eyeballs at home,
gleaming in the dark, staring at the tube or
the computer screen.

Oh my. Did I miss something? I thought the interview went swimmingly. Steamer, do you know something I don't?

If I were Ferguson, I'd be pleased if my guests had supportive fans - that means people are watching the show!

Thanks for posting this. I'll set my TiVo to get it. I'm pretty sure that he's doing it for Desperate Housewives. He was on Ellen recently to promote DH. He didn't even mention Firefly or Serenity. It would be nice if he mentioned something about the sequel, but I would be really surprised if he did.

Oh, I thought it went great as well. I just seem to remember hearing from them as attended his first appearance, that Ferguson seemed a little nonplussed about Nathan drawing so much of the attention. I dunno. I ain't gonna make a fuss about it - it's been said, any attention for the BDHs is good attention.

Ah, so our Frisky Browncoats felt a "vibe"? Very interesting. Did anyone post a thread about the experience?

That's too bad. Geez, those Hollywood types, huh? Glad Nathan and Co. aren't like that. I think it's awesome though, that Ferguson invited him back. Must know a good thing when he sees it... or whatever.

On another note, I often wish I could read lips when I watch these kinds of shows. As they cut to commercial break and the music starts, I always see the host talking to the guest and I'm always very curious to know what they're saying.

Here's the thread from his last appearance -- recaps towards the bottom.

http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=7&t=28571

If I remember correctly (haven't reviewed the YouTube), they did mention Serenity in his first appearance. Craig Ferguson made the comment that he's big in the sci-fi world.
I thought the first one went pretty well. Hopefully the second will be a bit longer.

Here is a youtube link to Nathan's first appearance on Craig Feguson's show.

Nathan Fillion on 5/10/07 Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

I think someone posted that Craig asked the audience off camera if they were all there to see him (Craig). And from that I for one was worried that Craig was bothered by all the attention Nathan got. I guess Craig wasn't bothered at all and had as good a time as it looked on TV. Yeah, Craig!

Craig did ask Nathan to explain Firefly. And there was much cheering from the audience.

Craig said Welcome back Frisky Browncoats. And they went wild. And Craig said he didn't know what it meant it. That made me think that Nathan told him to say that or to say Browncoats and Craig asked Frisky.

I hope the Frisky Browncoats show up again! Whoo-hoo! Fun TV!

Here is the Ellen episode FollowMal posted it somewhere.

Craig says things like "...my naughty monkeys..."
or "...my nasty badgers..." but I can't remember
(not usually up that late) what, if anything,
he usually refers to as frisky. That night he
welcomed "frisky Browncoats," no doubt in response
to the enthusiastic audience. I decided on the
spot that I might not have been present but I
was by golly a frisky Browncoat.

Craig found out from those of us in the audience that we were Browncoats. He loves those little sayings coming back from commercials and added the Frisky part.

I tend to think that Craig really liked Nathan and the audience that he brought. They filmed quite a few extra intros and outros for other nights of the show, including some that had been previously taped with an audience. Our audience that night was happy, loud and full of energy. Entertainers feed off that.

Plus Nathan has DH and the Waitress DVD to promote. It all comes together and we get a repeat appearance.

Yep, I hope to go. I know there will be plenty of Browncoats going, and I hope it will be as many as last time.

Also, if anyone is emailing the show, please don't put anything in there about asking certain questions. It is much more effective just saying thank you for booking Nathan, and you'll be watching when it airs.

Air-date is still listed as Nov. 7
This is all pending WGA strike, of course.
I say while the strike is on let's skip the
monologues and just get right to the guests.
Makes it lots more bearable when a show is
rerun many moons later if you don't have to
hear about old news as if it had just happened.

Here is where I check out TV guests:

So taping Wednesday afternoon and showing Wednesday night/Thursday morning depending on timezone.

Discussing the plans for talk shows now that the WGA strike is on, Reuters says: In late-night, such shows as NBC's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and "Saturday Night Live," as well as Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report," are scheduled to go dark immediately. CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman" and "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson" also are expected to go into repeats. Not a good sign...

Ah-yup! The schedules, when I checked them,
were mostly re-runny, inluding Craig.
Better luck next time, I guess.
Drat it.
As stated: who needs the monologues all the
time anyway? Skip them for now and do more
and/or longer guest spots.
Duh.
