mornin' Imponderables.

Clingy can be good, NVG, you should see if it extends to getting coffee after work.

Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator.

*sneakattackhugs RIMG a second time*

'morning Jimi.

It's Friday...hooray. I came to some interesting realizations yesterday/early today, and while I know that I'm not in my profession for the money, I don't think I fully realized how not into money this job is. (Paid 7 hours, do an extra 8 or so per day...)

MsG: MrG mentioned no kids for you today...day off, or kid-free day? Either way, hope it's de-stressing.

NVG: Hope it's the good kind of clingy.

*waves to everyone else...sorry I've over-thought about work and I'm not even done with the week yet...*

Seems we won't be needing anymore whiskey now do we. Seems you really know how to have a good time despite the tired hazyness.

Don't you take my whiskey! Don't you even think about taking my whiskey! I have killed for less!

*cough* Erm, that is - hey everyone! Who wants a whiskey?

I don't have a problem. Nope. I can give up whiskey any time. I just don't want to.

HUGS DTH...oooh whiskey??

Neko- it's no kids as we enter grades and such:) Yes I hate the sudden realization that you make less than minimum wage when you factor the number of hours we work against our salary.. I mean it's not like we chose this profession because we wanted to get rich or anything, but come on enough to actually live on would be nice... sigh. Our education association asked teachers to track their hours for a month and figured the standard teacher averages a 50-60 hour work week for a 40 hour work week's pay..( special ed averaged 65-70 for that 40 hour week's pay...so at least you were smart enough not to do that..yes I just called myself stupid)

NV- she's not single right?? 'cause if she's single... oh wait, never mind I forgot you're um working on something;)

Hey there folks. Missed y'all today. Seems the day off was used on two hours of sleep after an especially clingy and relaxed evening with my Mindy. Yeah, I have my friend back. With the mention and discussion of her recent comfort with me it is surprizing that nothing physical happened last night. It's all good.

Long day. Glad to have seen y'all for a moment. Be back Saturday as I have to supervise a visit at work. Yay.

Have a happy weekend everyone.

ADD: My counterpart is married but I believe her to be very attractive (active women, especially cowgirls seem to do that). Seems she might just need some extra attention as her husband is out of town, but I think she just needs a friend. It happens. Not that there is anything wrong with flirting, it just seems a bit dangerous with someone I must see professionally. Seems I've been the center of attention in the last few days. A pair of ladies who come into the shop for tat work pulled me aside last night at Wal MArt and tried to get me to drink with them. Woulda went but I had plans. Damn.

NVG: Both of us are nuts...I've got an excuse tho' -- 2 day workshop so came in to get the worksheet sets for both days copied. Only thing with that I forgot one class's work. Means I get to come in early tomorrow. Yippee. That, and make the room look "nice" for the sub. ('neko want sub to always be willing to take my sub jobs.)

*waves to all* might be on tomorrow, don't know. Really don't want to sit in a workshop...I'd rather be in the room with my kids. (Teachers are insane...we want the kids gone some times, and get upset when we have a chance to go to a workshop and leave the kids at school. )

RUGBUG

Howdy folks. I thought I posted towards the end of last week, but don't see anything...eek. Oh well.

Weekend was nice, but hairy. I decided to body clip the pony for a second time. You know the old torture device of a hair shirt? Body clipping is as close to a 21st century hairshirt as I would like to get. And it's self-inflicted. But, it was nice to ride yesterday in the warmth that was Sunday (like 85?) and not have a sweaty, messy horse to deal with after.

In other exciting news: CK...MSCL is out on DVD! Don't know if you've seen it out yet, but I went to rent season 2 of Bones and video store owner was prepping MSCL for rental. Meep! Sadly, he somehow missed Bones (he was cute...checking his little notebook 'Sept. 11th? Really? Uh-oh...come back on Tues and I will have it for you...gotta love independent video stores)...so I rented The Office instead. God, that show is hi-larious.

Here's a good one for y'all:

When life gets really tough, and it seems like nothing at all is going your way, what do you use for comfort? What keeps you going so that you can get things back on track, and maybe feel like you are in control again?

I thought about killing myself this morning, no real reason...

Listen to certain music (usually metal) or watch a dvd, or immerse myself in some kind of destroy sh** kind of game work out any frustations I have and hopefully elevate my mood.

Then I always remember, no matter how bad it's gotten or going at that point, things always end up getting better even if its 2-3 months down the road.

Usually I try to do something fairly simple but still enough of a mental task that I'm preoccupied and not thinking about what's bothering me. Something like playing a bunch of freecell. It takes care of that control aspect because I feel like I'm in control of the game and such. It also keeps my mind on something simple and basic. Basically like white noise for the brain.

Depends on what the lack of control is, for me. I've gone to a local windy/tourist spot and just stand there imaginging the wind taking all the problems away...I tend to turn to my friends (the ones who'll help me hide th' bodies -- or at least help provide me with an alibi) and talk, play a video game that's mind-numbing or fairly violent, find the ironoic humor in the situation, stuff like that...

...in actuality, I probably become an evil, low-tolerant (of fools and the like), bitter, isoloationistic biyatch, while I try to keep my head down and muddle through the whole thing...

RIMG, too many folk will hunt you down if you do anything foolish. Can you take a "mental health" day or two where you focus on relaxing/recovering some of your calm? *BEARHUGS Jimi*
