Oh goodness. Is Zeph an aspiring Brown Coat Man Whore? If so you are more than welcome. Seems our ranks need more good fellas like yourself.

I got more than five hours sleep last night! Woo Hoo! Don't know what to do with myself. Seems I have some research for down time today. I introduced my buddy John to Three Gun shooting competitions and he is all about it. Great. I have created a monster.

IT'S ALIVE!!!

Howdy all. Seems everyone is in a good mood today. Yay for all of you.

Zeph: YAY! Glad to hear you've found someone (or that she's found you). *volunteers to help RIMG if needed*

MsG: YIKES! *hugs* Sorry to hear that this week is bad for you. End of quarter nuttiness?

MrG: Yep, 'tis very cool. I still can't belive it, it was that mind-blowing. ('Course, the kids deserve the true credit, since these are the ones that are determined to get the 'A'...)

RIMG: Hope the doctor found what the behavioral issue could be, and can provide some solutions for you folks with Zachary.

*glomps Neko*

*does the secret BCMW handshake thingy with NVG*

Zeph would indeed make a fine addition to our ManWhore ranks. ;D

Neko, they still don't know, but we have another meeting with her next Friday to answer more questions and such. The one today was actually just a phone interview with questions, and Ami took care of it, since they called at 10. We lucked out that she was home, because she has several other appointments today (her BF has Thuradays off, so she schedules them all on Thursdays.

*snuggles MsG*

MsG have you been keeping up with How I Met Your Mother? I just watched the latest episode last night. I think it's the best of the season so far.

MsG: Yep, been there, done that...now dealing with the "why is my child's grades...?" aftermath of the report card.
Long day today....2 meetings this afternoon. One was a "voluntary" *cough* mentoring meeting (with homework...) *bites tongue and cheeks to avoid ranting about the lack of time to do everything plus the new thing that's just added on* The other was on "Understanding by Design" that the school is doing...
As for the students today: Had to point out the lab, then threaten to cancel it if they didn't behave as a class, or if it was individuals to make it the individual plus their group being punished if there were safety issues today. Went well overall today, partially because of the carrot and stick method.

NVG: Spoke too soon. Am at the point where I did a girly snap at one of my co-workers, (so tired I can't do addition of 1, 2, 3, and 4s) and in front of the principal, no less *whoops* Honestly, though, too overwhelmed and overloaded at this point to care.

RIMG: *HUGS* Glad to hear that Ami could answer the interview questions. At least you're one step closer to possibly finding your answers for Zach. *fingers crossed that things work out well for you Jimi*

*sigh* Gorramnit, I need a few real-life browncoat-y hugs today...*hugs RIMG, Zephyr, NVG, MrG, Tristan-in-absentia, Magda-kidnapped-from-the-bar-and-grill, MsG, Emma (kidnapped also from the bar-and-grill), Zeek, RugBug, and whomever else happens by for a hug*

HUGS Neko...I know just what you mean... sigh do you ever long for those classrooms you see in the movies where all the violent and unmotivated kids can be suddenly turned into A students by playing rap songs in class and getting in their face with love....LOL yeah right and snowflakes cure cancer too...

I think we need to save that quote somewhere. Just a few snips in the right places and it sure sounds like you're all for this method of teaching.

Heh...one of my Worst.Ever. experiences subbing (aside from the continuation high school...and maybe junior high metal shop) was one of those inspiring, movie type teachers...which despite what you say, I'm assuming you are. You know, the one that all the kids love? Maybe the kids aren't all getting As, but they show up and are respectful?

Well, his class was ESL and some pretty known unruly types. Yet they were perfect children for him. Would do just about anything he asked. I knew caused I had observed in his room many times as a student teacher. But eesh, take the teacher out of the room and it was a nightmare. There is generally low respect for sub anyway, and when the regular teacher is listened to and followed out of pure respect, it's a recipe for trouble. I never subbed in his class again (not b/c I wasn't asked, but because I wasn't into self-torture).

Zeek: *heh* Yep, hug-kooties probably...(and here I thought it was 'cause of my winning personality earlier this year )

MsG: *nods* Yep. Still in the "I want a break!" mode/level of stress... As for the miracles...I'll go for the teacher that somehow reaches the low-level and/or unmotivated and gets them to pass AP tests by their senior year in high school. *snort* "Of course [teachers] can! They're teachers!" *rolls eyes*

...might be on later...today looks like a long day today (yet again) hooray for Fridays at least.

Mornin' folks. Long night. Not an especially bad one, but long nonetheless. Seems I had a bit of a "something" last night and ended up on the phone with mindy for over an hour. Might be the discomfort of everything settling or there might be something going on. Either way I have been on alert for a few weeks now and don't know why. Usually I am only like that when stuff is happening and I;m gonna end up dealing with it. Just wierdness.

Gosh 'Neko. Sounds like a bit of "frustration" there. Hope it gets worked out. Hate to think of you being so frazzled.

ADD: Snowflakes on my tongue sure cured the blues a time or two though.

Zeek- yes I am watching How I Met your Mother...and laughing hysterically!!!!
Have you checked out the slap clock website??

Rugbug- oh my kids are extra good for a sub ( because of the horrifying penalties that await them should they misbehave..plus I give the sub the power to choose which class gets doughnuts for good behavior)Though I do have other teachers complain that the kids behave for me and not them ( sadly the key is treating the kids with respect and actually liking them and those teachers can't do that...sigh)

NV- HUGS and hang in there

Yep. Though I've also checked out cbs's extra content from each episode and I'm undecided about it. It's usually like a little out take or just a scene they straight ripped out of the show. I mean if it's really just deleted content then fine, but if they're dumbing down the show to try to get web traffic then that's lame.
