I live in the middle of nowhere with little chance of running into another browncoat. So last week I was in Las Vegas, armed with my Jayne hat cell phone holder hoping to run into anyone who likes the show.

On my first day there I was riding in an elevator that stopped and two hotel employees hopped in. On had in her hand the Firefly DVD's. I think I could have fainted. The other one asked her what they were, to which she replied, "It's some DVD's that all the employees are watching, I guess it's supposed to be a pretty good show."

Of course I had to give my opinion and told her that it was the best show to ever be on TV and that I truely beleived she would enjoy them.

I love vacation! Stuff like that just never happens to me at home.

Most excellently shiny!

Yeah, there are a lotta Browncoats out there, including many who do not yet know what they are!

I hope your vacation was otherwise as remarkable, as well. Nice as your encounter was, I surely hope that it was only one of many, enjoyable highlights.

Thanks for sharing!

Middle of nowhere is precisely where most browncoats live and thrive. (i guess most just don't know they're browncoats yet!) One of the most satisfying things i've done is to turn people who were already friends to browncoat friends. As mal says, "I believe we shall rise again." It's such a shiny verse, you just can't help but share it. :)

From one thing, learn ten thousand things.

Thank you all so much for sharing my excitement. I've shared the 'verse with several people. Most say they like it but I don't think any have become die hard fans like me. I'm not discouraged though, I'll just keep spreading the signal until someone makes me a sequal.

I was so happy to hear that those people were passing the dvd's around at work. I can't even imagine how many people work at one casino. I have to laugh at myself a little bit, first time in Las Vegas and the best part of my trip was riding in an elevator. Shinny.

Talking about being from a small town, I was really surprised when I went to my local Wal-Mart and the BDCE was sold out. I didn't expect that. Makes me want to hang around the aisle so I can find out who my local browncoats are.
