was not planning to watch this...but the alternative was reality tv, or an early bedtime...so watched. was a little bit happy when I saw mark sheppard, katee sackhoff, and mel ferrer in the opening credits. Hate the show so so lame. does it want to be Alias? the three mentioned actors were brilliant of course, and the other bad guy was good, but I didn't like any of the other characters. any thoughts?

Don't you mean Miguel Ferrer? Mel Ferrer is 90, and I didn't think he had acted since Falcon Crest, although I could be wrong.

I caught the episode last Wednesday. It didn’t make a big impression on me. It seemed too overly femin-nazi-ized. Is it really necessary to make women ungrateful bitches just to make the point that they are independent? I liked the special effects and the cyborg stuff, but they over did the fight scenes. So two bionic women are fighting – each has superhuman strength in their bionic arms – it seems likely that this fight will last until one of them places a lucky shot into the head of the other resulting in immediate death. Of course that doesn’t happen, so some of the fight scenes are grossly unrealistic. But I can look past that; it will be more difficult to look past the total lack of warmth and character.

Caught the first two episodes, I'm under impressed. Not sure if I'll catch the next.

Too much emphasis on the 'fighting'; I think they need to get something going on character development or something on the 'why' of the mass killings, etc. I also found it pretty humorous when they tossed what appeared to be a 'flash bang' grenade in the enemy strong hold and not a single holdout resisted.

yeah, definitely Miguel Ferrer who is only 52

I loved seeing Mark Sheppard in this show,
and I had been excited about the show when I saw the pilot at Comic Con,
but they altered some things (replacing the much better more interesting little sister with the cuter one who can't act)
And this second episode did feel like they were going to make the show an Alias clone.

I'm not sure I'll be tuning in any more....

but let me know if Mark Sheppard is back on it again!

Well guess I’ll go out on a limb and say that I liked “Bionic Woman” more that I intended to. I’m looking to catch the 3rd eps next week, I’ll give it a chance to do it’s thing since it usually takes several episodes for the ball to get rolling for a new series. So far it ain’t half bad JMO.

I am delighted by the number of our BDHs that have joined the small screen family of entertainment. Alan Tyduk seems to make his appearances more on the BIG SCREEN, while Nathan, Adam, Jewel, Mark, Christina, Summer and Morena seem to be on the smaller one on a regular basis. It really doesn’t matter though. I’m glad that they’re working and we still get to see them. I hope Gina and family are doing well and although I don’t hear much about Ron I hope he’s doing well too. Looks to be a very entertaining Fall season. Now if some company would get all these actors back together for a return of Firefly and lump it with their regular weekly line-up I think they’d have a real good recipe for success.

I enjoyed it, though I acknowledge its flaws. There's been some behind-the-scenes shenanigans, so I'm giving it several episodes to find its legs.

And I liked the fight sequences. They remind me of Dark Angel.

yep I did mean Miguel ferrer...I have a name recall glitch thing going on. I echo your thoughts on the fight stuff....maybe it should be called "battle of the bionic" women.

I may watch a few more episodes just to be fair. plus I want to see how they develop the bad guys, they look like the characters to watch. not too endeared to the main characters.
