There are a lot of really good movies on that list and I'm glad Serenity is among them. I'm a big fan of dystopian literature and the dark undertones of Firefly and Serenity have always been the part of the show that I've been begging to have more of.

That is an awesome list... Some of the best sci-fi is based in the Distopian philosophy...Its easy for us to see a world in which the remarkable things promised to us in the future were a lie...because it is so now. There are so many facets of what can go wrong with technology, science, medicine, thought, free thought, status quo, & breeding. take any two of these concepts...now imagine a story where one is greatly improved and one has digressed beyond repair. Limitless fiction in our truth. When I saw Brazil for the first time...it upset me to the point of sleeplessness. after time it has grown to be one of my all time favorite movies...especially when the movie is a parable for its own creation. Terry Gilliam is my second favorite underdog writer/director/creator.

"Smellin' alot of IF comin' offa' this plan!"
