Cuttin’ someone’s brakes is horribly inefficient. It leaves a body, which means there’s an investigation, and then they start looking for motive and everything gets all icky.

In other news, it’s 76F here, with clear skies and a steady breeze.

I like to buy it on Half.com, and buy slightly loved versions (it's usually less than $1 for the book, the shipping actually costs more). Come to think of it, I need to get a few more copies anyhow.

MrG, I would love it if it were 48 here. 76 is still way too warm for me.

76 is pushing it, that's the truth. I'd love to live somewhere it's low 50s at night and low 70s max durring the day.

Hummm if only Browncoat Island was in just the right spot...

Look you warm blooded people...bite me!! It's freakin freezing LOL HUGS

NV- well hey that sounds like a movie I'd like...does something explode?? I have a firm policy about not watching movies with no explosions...giggle

Oh how many more weeks does track and field last. I love Travis to death ( teacher in the building) but I am really sick of covering his class every Tuesday.

Oh it's very ineffective you cannot count on a car crash to kill anyone. There's way too high a chance of survival...depending on what you did to cause the car to crash, the leftover body not such a big deal...but cut break lines...oh come on a rural cop with 4 weeks training would catch that...
One of these days I really should get a knowledge base that doesn't involve violence, death, or mayhem..

Try A Librus(sp?). Lots of older books, good selection, especially hard to find. My bro-in-law uses it all the time(I tend to go to thrift stores for my collection, but sci-fi fans don't let go of good stuff very often!)
A balmy low 40's when I got up and took kids to school, rained all weekend, now it is 63. i don't believe the weather channel. It can't be that warm!
PS I have a copy of Stranger...in storage 300+ miles away.

I'm sooooo going to the special hell, 'cause I like Saffron's bible too.

There is also Powell's in Portland. Man that place is huge, and that was just the main building we were in. Not counting the 3 others that were dedicated to more precise topics and genres!

Late all!

Paperbacks Ink. used to be a good used bookshop. You almost tripped over the damned Heinlein section.

PR- message received. Hug.

Jimi! Congrats! You are surrounded by babies lately.

Gee- physics good. Your path may take a bit longer than planned. Experiments tend to get a wee bit delayed depending...
I married a particle physicist. Go look up Doctroid over yonder and bend his ear a while.
Tell him his wife sent you.

He also knits now. I am a bad influence.

Did I mention that I'm trying hard to convince myeslf that this lawyer is not worth the jail time? Summbitch.
Goodish news (this is taking me twice as long to type because I have to correct myself every other word): hubster got a call from an agent who says that apparently the LENDER is now getting in on the act and closing is "imminent", whatevertheheck that means. I'll believe it when I see it.

This would be a good place for a quote from Floralbunny. Have there been any sightings recently?

"Bastards stole my mortgage" or somesuch...

sigh. I think I'll fall over now. I'm half Irish, I started out on the floor for safety's sake.

PS: I posted in the BSR and on the 76th proboard if anybody wants to read a really short bit of fic pertaining to everyone's favorite independent battalion of pre-enactors. (I still like that word... probably because I made it up...)
