Seemed fittin' considerin' the date and all. Here be a new thread to ponder the day away in.

Previous thread:
http://www.fireflyfan.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=30564

We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.

We extort, we pilfer, we filch and sack.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!
Maraud and embezzle and even hijack.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.
Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.

We kindle and char, inflame and ignite.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!
We burn up the city, we're really a fright.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.

We're rascals, scoundrels, villans and knaves.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!
We're devils and black sheep, really bad eggs!
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.

We're beggars and blighters and ne'er-do-well cads.
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!
Aye! But we're loved by our mommies and dads!
Drink up me 'earties, Yo Ho!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.
Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.
Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.
Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me.

Same. Actually I didn't see the 3rd because of how bad the second was. No witty dialog. Complex plot. No topless keira knightly scene. It was just all around not what I hoped it would be.

So, I figured the third would be more of the same.

Yeah, I didn't like 2 as much as the first one, and with 2 and 3 being basically one long movie, I imagine they might compare to the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies, which weren't nearly as cool as the first one (even though they had a BDH in them).

Over the years I've warmed up to the 2nd and 3rd matrix movies more. Sure they're no where near as good as the first one, but they're not awful. I think they just got in over their heads a bit.

No no no MsG. Don't fall for that. It's a total lemon private island. 3 miles off the coast of Grenada! Haven't you heard the song? There's a kids camp there. You'd constantly be dealing with little punks paddling their canoes to your island. There's a reason it's only $18 mil.

I think those little canoes might float back to where they came from empty if we ever got to having a problem with them.

Ahoy Mateys.

I didn't like POTC 2 much during first viewing. Then I watched it again in preparation to see PTOC 3. Liked it much more the second time.

However, I managed to miss POTC 3 in the theaters... Not sure how that happened. I'm waiting, waiting, waiting for it to come out on DVD.

I have been so aggressive with my bosses lately that I can almost get anything I ask for. I even take time off pretty much whenever I want as long as I tell everyone I won't be in, and no one questions it. I feel like an ass. But my corner is covered and there is plenty of projects I'm always working on. I have challenges but my home life is where I want to build more. I like hiding at work. But then there are days function is questionable.

I. Me. My. There is the selfish rant for the day. Fricken ego got all inflated this morning and there seems to be a much needed beat down for it.

So wassuppers Jimi? I understand there is quite alot going on, but what are you doing for yourself?

You know what the first rule of flyin' is? Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. Did you guys ever get the Scare Bears? They were like the ordinary Care bears, but then you could turn their little heads and paws inside out, and they had claws and fangs and red eyes.

My friend's little sister had one. I wasn't allowed too many toys like that: given a nurses outfit and some teddies at the age of 6, I played research stations. (Channeling Blue Sun at an early age...)

Really not seeing the big deal. I'd rather learn swing than ballroom but hey, nothing is perfect. Besides, there are few physical activities one can share with multiple ladies in public and/or to showcase your lady for an evening.

So the first night of dance class went well (or so the wife assures me hehe). J/K it was fun enough for something I had no clue what-so-ever about.

Actually it wasn't bad but I felt like a bumbling jerking fool (or twitching) trying to learn the basic steps and the arch and spin they taught us. I'm sure it'll smooth out as we practice and have more classes. I just wish night one had focused on the basic move only so I could have felt more confident before we plunged into other stuff.

Ah well practice will make perfect. By the end of the 9 weeks hopefully I won't embarrass her if we go out dancing at a ball/wedding and maybe the rhythm I learn will help me learn some basic non-pathetic dancing skills for going to night clubs and such.

EDIT: NVG naw I was joking about the bell tolling, fortunately the doom I feared didn't happen - that of humiliating the wife.
