We listen..we just fail to fully absorb sweety HUGS and of course I would cater to your tastes. I'm making them to cheer YOU up, not someone else...

Ok never heard of this song...big surprise there

*tangos about with Jimi( and apparently Whimsy as she's already in the hug...which is all good)

Whimsy got it. :D

Must be some country something or other. Sounds like it would be. But don't sing it to me. I've already been singing 'It Ain't Me Babe, it ain't me you're lookin' for..babe' all morning long.

Milk is evil. Or is now. Love the stuff but it no longer loves me. Doubling over with stomach cramps within 10 minutes sort of put me off the stuff.

George Thorogood, actually. Dono if I'd classify him as country so much as R&Bishness.

Thank you MSG!

The song has a couple of names. I've heard it called Landlady (or Landlord) Blues or One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer. It was written by John Lee Hooker but is probably best known form the George Thorogood & The Destroyers' version. A great song!

Note to self: never do anything with online browncoats.

You know I don't see men holding women to the same standard. Why aren't you guys forced to take classes about football in order to be considered acceptable? Though I gotta say a girl who likes watching football is just all kinds of hot.

Honey I hate to mention this...but I already know what clipping is and what first down means and all of that stuff...
I can also tell you what offsides is, what leg before wicket is, what a scrum is, and why the pinch hitter rule is wrong...grew up with guys remember...LOL

and if you don't find us...we will find you. One day when you least expect it...suddenly a horde of browncoat women will show up and begin wildly hugging you

psssh that's like saying "oh there are steps in dancing? I know how to take steps."

I want to hear, "what the heck were they doing in a dime package on 3 and 1!?!" I and to hear "ineligible man down field" before the ref makes a signal. I'm not talking knowing a couple terms I'm talking knowing what's going on without someone else telling you.

Hey there Zeph. Still looking for mild insight into One Night With Zeph, but I guess checkin' the other thread might be the appropriate (and less than lazy) thing to do.

No worries on the horsie monopoly 'Bug. It's a great concern and love of yours and we are grateful for your sharage. I've learned quite a bit just reading the occasional horse discussion.

And I woulda cued in on that one mighty quick MrG as I am a blues fan myself. Give RL Burnside a try if you like Georgies brand of music. Thorogood drew alot from more contemporary artists from the same generation of Burnside. I occasionally like to let Leadbelly dull the edges of the day when it all gets a bit cumbersome.

Almost forgot. When I did a yahoo search for Kevin Smith+quotes+Firefly I came up with this:

Number five on the list

MySpace.com - River Is My Goddess - 26 - Male - Warner Robins, Georgia ...
Would they take away my browncoat if I humbly admit I don't know Serenity's call ... RIMG, did you see the latest Kevin Smith quote. ...profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&... - 159k - Cached

Hope ya didn't mind me posting that Jimi. I thought it very interesting to see a friend at the top of an unrelated search.

Ok, found the thread by sheer luck. Ok really it was by clicking on every odd looking thread title until I found it. What's up with the thread title?!

Anyhow, just stopping by to say hey. I was drawn out of my lurkdom by a couple of posts asking about what's going on with the Firefly MMORPG. (Update: absolutely zero news from the company supposedly making it, so I've moved past dubious, way beyond cynical. I'm convinced we're being screwed by FUX once again. Grrr.)

Not much new in my world. I'm feeling a bit better, having some good luck with a new diet. I'm not entirely pain-free, but my energy levels are a *lot* better, and I can do one flight of stairs on my own again! Plus, hubby's lost 11 lbs, so we may be sticking to this one long-term.

So I'm way behind on all the Imponderables chatter, but MsG, did I see that right, you convinced MrG to take dancing lessons with you? How did you do it?! If I keep feeling better I want to talk hubby into taking swing dance lessons! Hehe.

Men like to have some time that is just "for the guys", I think, though I too am a big fan of women who like/get football (don't have to understand every position, or the strategy behind every type of play, but a general idea of what's going on is good). I am just different from the norm, I suppose, because I'd rather take a girl dancing and catch up on the game later, given the choice.

Sorry, folks. I simply cannot let this pass.

The spelling Nazis have compelled me to let you know incorrect spelling of excellent Scotch will NOT be tolerated.

It is Glenmorangie. Like the Highland town.

Please, MisterG. If you are going to post, please spell correctly.

That is all.
