i DO aim to misbehave

A recent (and very shiny) fan fic by Alienzookeeper put a thought in my mind today. Not so hard as it's Christmas Eve and I'm at work.

Take the American Civil War. In the North, that's what we call it, although we generally leave the "American" part off. In the South it's usually referred to as the "War Between the States."

Edit per Kelso: Or, more accurately, I should say I've heard it referred to as the "War Between the States."

Suppose you're an Independent, a veteran or survivor of the war that ended the 'verse as you knew it. What would you call it?

True I don't know if they ever actually give it a name. Of course you could use Badgers name for it. "That big war you failed to win"

if i was a browncoat, i'd call it the war for independence. if i was on the alliance side i'd call it war of insurrection.

Umm, I don't know what part of Georgia you are from but I in "Redneck Florida" (where I spent some time) it was refered to as "The War of Northern Agression."

Wow, I have never heard that in my life. I've lived in the Southeast for 23 years, and I've always referred to it as the Civil War.

I guess ya learn something new everyday.

It would just be "the war". Or named after the key battle. Like the "Battle of Serenity". I honestly don't know. I would most likely try to get as far away as possible, likt the outskirts or farther. Then it would only be in my mind. Which means I might go crazy, but I really don't know.

Keep flyin'!
