I recently got my brothers hooked on Firefly, but was a little surprised at how far they'd come. We were all together for a family meal, and my mom called my dad an embarrassingly sweet nickname. Before I could do anything, one of my brothers said "Now that's a mite unsettling," just as the other one put his head in his hands and said "This must be what going mad feels like." I couldn't stop laughing for a full 5 minutes. I love having Browncoats in my family!

How old are the brothers in question, and, have you showed Firefly to your parents, yet?

Way to go, spreading the signal!

Said brothers are 16 and 14. My dad likes Firefly, but when we were watching it, my mom was too busy and only caught Safe...I can only imagine how confused she was.

Great context, perfect moment, finest quote.
Would like to have been there.

At the bank they ask me how I'd like my cash.
"Cashy money," is always the reply.
