Greetings everyone.

My name is Marty, but I go by Shepherd Marty online on account that I'm a minister in real life. My family and I are planting a Church in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

I'm just wanting to introduce myself here on FireflyFans.net right now, so here's some basic bio information:

Name: Pastor (Shepherd) Marty O.
DOB: 07/23/1979
Denomination: Pentecostal
Favorite shows: Firefly, Star Trek, Babylon 5, etc. Major sci-fi nut.
Other jobs: I'm an illustrator also.

I'm a 28 year old Pastor who's been married for 6+ years and has a 5 year old son. I'm here for community purposes, not to preach, just to enjoy the fellow Browncoats company online, and perhaps next D*C, offline.

I got converted to firefly fandom by a member of my congregation.

I was a short-lived comic book publisher back in '05 and early '06, nothing special there. Been active in comic book and movie fandom for years. Also a website designer.

In response to the question on how we could help Joss get a Serenity sequel going, well I have a few ideas.

First and foremost, we gotta keep the fandom going. We need to keep converting Browncoats like Christians (such as myself) want to get converts world wide.

Secondly it's a matter of not only the options expiring, but also the cast, crew, and a new studio to come up with the cost to make another movie. Something like $40+ million to make Serenity, probably close to or beyond that for another one.

Thirdly, Joss would have to get a good screenplay going again. Perhaps working with Edlund or someone else that wrote really well on the original series.

All we can really do right now is to wait, hope, pray, and dream for another Sequel. Let's keep spreading the word and working on getting Browncoats allied with us.

Me on the other hand, I may try out my hand at fan fiction. I've done some pro writing, but I really REALLY want to try my hand at Fan Fic in the Firely universe.

Without the NC17 I saw on one of the other fanfics.
