The Official Serenity Ship's Papers from QMx, based on designs by fan favorite replica maker Whitefall, are going on sale today at 6 p.m. EST. And if you order in the first 24 hours, you can get a personalized Alliance Amnesty document (handy at those awkward, getting-arrested moments).

The original set was created by Whitefall (Ben Mund) to duplicate the set seen in the episode "Safe." Unfortunately the prop was never meant to be seen up close so the documents were old legal forms and naval certificates. This new set has been designed from the ground up, with access to background resources from the movie and from "Serenity" graphic designer Geoff Mandel. 13 full-color sheets of various sizes up to 8-1/2″ x 14,” the certificates are hand stamped with the official seals of the Alliance and hand signed in English and Chinese by the appropriate Alliance officials. The documents contain endorsements required to operate a variety of ship systems along with system maps, operating licenses, safety inspections and a wealth of background material on what it takes to operate a Firefly-Class Transport in the ‘Verse.

The set of papers plus custom leather holder is $119, plus shipping. When Ben's original set of papers popped up on ebay it went for $150 - $200 plus, so this ain't bad at all.
