OK thread was getting long and apparently my posting is killing it...so lets see if we can get this going:)

Old thread
http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=29687

So here's something to ponder... If money was no object, would you get plastic surgery ??

I'd definitely be the first to line up for a breast reduction if it wouldn't cost me $5,000 ( actually insurance will pick up most of it when I finish the weight loss, but still)

Hmm... plastic surgery? maybe. I would love my feet to look better.

Never mind plastic surgery. If money were no object I would have something injected into my nails so they aren't as brittle.

No, plastic surgery for me regardless of money. I don't think I have enough vanity for it.

Hrmmm...not really into that. Alive sexy is soooo much better. ;)

Yes, I would have plastic surgery. To make the halves of my body match. But I wouldn't change anything else.

Heh...I have legs that belong on a larger woman...or an upper half that belongs on a smaller one. I vary by about two sizes. I would just love to buy some pants that I didn't have to wear a belt with. By the time they fit in the thighs...they are huge in the waist.

But if that's my biggest struggle in life, I'm willing to accept it. ;)

Damn, woman, you kilt another one. Not sure if'n I should associate with you or not...!

Maybe Bug's bugged, or maybe she threw her coworker from the tenth floor.

But as for asymmetry how's this for a case study?

http://actcomm.dartmouth.edu/rgray/face/

And I'm not against plastic surgery per se, especially not when there's at least a quasi-medical reason for it, but for the sake of pure vanity I question it. My vanity's mojo is so strong I don't see any imperfections--still think Zeek is at least a clone. Age gracefully. Some work is subtle enough not to be noticed but we've all seen the bad procedures out there.

Yeah for me it's that I have a small frame and the huge weight is causing massive damage( pinched nerves, cracks in spinal disks, back strain, and two permanent grooves worn in my shoulders from straps...plus it's just ridiculous on my frame...

Same here Rugbug. When I was at my normal weight ( and even now) I was always an XL on top even if I was a S on the bottom..hey that's it..we can trade!!

It's a deal.

I think you've got the easier of the two to deal with from a clothing standpoint. Long tops? No problem...they will easily go over your hips. not on me. and if you're pants fit in the waist, they're baggy in the legs...no obscene tightness.

Edited because the whole chestage thing would not be fun. I don't envy you that one little bit.

Ola, everyone. How goes it? I'm currently nursing a Doctor Who hangover after finishing the second series. Three more days and and my fix will be sated.

No plastic surgery here. Sharp objects give me the willies. Then again, at my weight, liposuction is tempting. But I think I'll try the old fashioned method of diet and exercise first.

Reposted from the Bar:

Just got home from the softball tournament (lost the first game, and they were starting the second when I left to put Carson to bed) and it is almost 9 PM. I'm beat.

My boss is a whirlwind of epic proportions. Constantly on the move. Answering / returning phone calls. Emails. Helping engineers develop systems. Faxing. Helping other salesmen. It is nuts.

But today was day 7, and I actually was able to (correctly) put a proposal together from scratch. I was pretty proud of myself.

Turns out not only is my Net access limited, more importantly they monitor time spent on the Net. So, the days of leaving the site up all day, and minimizing it to do work is gone. I still can pop in during my lunch, but that's about it.

I miss you all bunches. That's about the size of it.

*hug*

And as for plastic surgery? I'm next in line behind MsG getting the breast reduction. I would do it, without a second thought. I'm sooo over hauling these around.

My sister had liposuction on her thighs. They look great now - but as that was the area she would first gain weight in, now that area has moved to her arms. And it was painful for a few days there. She was in a lot of pain.

But damn, her thighs look good.

Rugbug, sorry...I didn't get to answer your email from the other day. I have been so busy. But I will answer it, as I have some words. *hug*

Hi all! *waves* I thought I'd say 'Hi' as I'm grabbing a little down time from packing & cleaning and generally going nuts (Pennsic time this weekend). I've missed everyone terribly, but have seen JQ ocassionally IRL.

*hugs Mavs* I understand. At my work where on the net you go is strongly monitored and it all needs to be work-related. We can't even surf at lunch time. Strict, eh? Well, I wotk for a hospital & they can't afford any breaches in security, hence the Big Bro thing. As it is, we keep getting worm problems from folks who are dumb enough to click on links in unsolicited emails. *shakes head in wonder*

Plastic surgery? Breast reduction. The girls have taken on epic proportions and my back hurts. It's just not from being over-weight. I was top-heavy even when I weighed 80 lbs less.

evenin' Imponderables.

Seems that the Browncoat ladies are a busty bunch.

I would probably get lipo, even though I really don't need it.

Of course, most of you know what I would do with unlimited money, if the specification wasn't plastic surgery, and that'd be building my own to scale working version of a 03-K64 mid-bulk transport, and we would have hellacious shindigs there all the time. That, and I would make sure that everyone who wanted to go to DragonCon could.

hey Deep, RMMC. It's been a while. I hope life isn't treating y'all too badly.

hey RugBug (from previous thread) *hugs* I agree with MsG, you look amazing in all the pics I've seen of you.

So this is the time of the year where I get to really put the screws to the student body: the Regents have voted in a 5.1% average increase for most groups; out of state undergraduate students however got a 7.5% increase. Ah, but way back when I think I said there was one or two people that I like to hug. My friend Glen is one. I could stay wrapped in his arms all day long...in a completely platonic way. And I imagine jimihugs to be like glenhugs. Don't know why, I just do.

Double quotiness, too.

Pets as meals. Hmmm. Tough one. How hungry am I? Lost in the Andes hungry or hop on down to the corner store for Cheetos hungry?

How topical. What movie scene comes close to playing out a real world moment in your life?

That scene in Garden Spot where Large is sitting on the couch looking bored out of his mind while the aunt is blabbering to him. I've had family get togethers like that plenty of times.

Many of the scenes from Whose Life Is It Anyway (best thing Dreyfuss ever did or could hope to and it gave the world Christine Lahti, who is way underappreciated and under utilized) hit close to home because I saw it not tooooo long after my mother's death and, well, you know.
