SciFi Firefly marathon Friday, August 10!

Found in a post over at the SciFi Firefly forums and posted a story at NewsOfTheVerse.net.

SCI-FI, the cable science fiction channel, has quietly slipped an 8-episode Firefly marathon into its schedule for Friday, August 10. (Tip of the hat to BestBrainsInc on the SCI-FI forums.) Local times may vary, and they've yet to announce which episodes will be featured, but I'm sure the titles will be released as the day approaches.

So if you're working that day, get that DVR ready. Please send SCI-FI a thank you note, and keep in mind that they earn their money by advertising sales, so a promise to not skip the commercials may help bring us more Firefly.

We'll be including this in the Operation Signal Boost push for the summer, I believe we'll be updating this weekend. YAY for SciFi doing a marathon!!

Our focus lately has been to encourage screening attendance, but as that passes ( And wow how fantastic was the weekend!!??) we'll be turning our attention to all the other fun stuff that's planned.

Tivo set! (everyone with a DVR should record these, even if you only watch episodes on your DVDs, many networks now buy audience statistic info from companies like Tivo to supplement the usual Nielsen ratings)

As part of the Operation Signal Boost guerilla marketing stuff we're doing we were going to write SciFi and suggest a marathon. Seems they've taken the hint already ( YAY! ) and done it!

Now in place of asking for a marathon, we'll have to use the day we were going to write in all together as a date to simultaneously thank them.

We'll update the post and post when the day gets closer and I hope everyone will join us. That'd be pretty shiny to all thank them the same day.
