In response to stuff from last thread: The twitching thing is starting to sound like a challenge. Do I win anything if Death Masks doesn't make me twitch?

Stuff to recommend to the kitteh? Must it be manga/anime, or can it be an sort of reading/viewing material?

You win the 'relating strongly to a name doesn't affect you' prize.
Or possibly the 'bit too fond of evil' prize.
One or the other.

No. Absolutely not. I will not give anything else away about Death Masks. It's tough to spoil Dresden anyway; they get so twisty now. You can know what happens halfway through and it still won't tell you a thing about the rest of the book.

Darth Vader is Dresden's father. Mister is an alien. Karrin Murphy is an android pregnant with Bob's child. But I'm not giving anything away that you wouldn't have figured out after the first book.

No, no spoilers. But what I wrote above does remind me of that cool t-shirt:

Hello everyone.

Ghost In the Shell, Bleach, Le Chevalier D'eon.

I've recently started reading the xxxHolic manga, it's pretty good.

I'll pretty much read or watch anything.

Zero!
I already adore Ghost in the Shell and have been watching / reading Bleach for quite a while.
I also loved Cowboy Bebop (which every Firefly fan should see) and Samurai Champloo.
And, shut-up-don't-laugh-at-me-it's-cute-dammit, I really like Ouran High School Host Club.
Just started reading Trigun......
And now I'm already looking for other things.

Nico!
No, it doesn't have to be manga / anime / comics, but chances are much better that I'll read them if it is. It's a leap of faith for me to read Dresden; I normally ignore people when they talk about books / novels.

Oooohhhh, and I still have Warren Ellis' novel, "Crooked Little Vein," to read. I haven't started that yet cuz I'm afraid it'll be over too soon.

Yay! \o/
I (heart) Borders. ^^
I am sooooo behind in my manga collecting....

Regarding "Ouran High School Host Club," you may actually want to watch the anime instead of read it. Or, at least, watch it first, then read it. Maybe I'm just incredibly new to anime, but the show just made me giggle like a little school girl.... The manga is funny, but the animations they made are hi-larious.

OH! I totally forgot about "Paranoia Agent"!!! Awesomest opening theme evarrrr and really interesting series.

And there was a rather short-lived but intriguing series called "Bartender." It was centered around a small, secluded bar and the young bartender there. Random customers would come in, and order a drink, and that drink lead to a funny or touching or weird story about that person's life. I'm probably explaining it horribly. It was much more interesting than my explanation. XD

What else, what else.... I know I'm forgetting things, cuz everything is on my computer that I can't get to......... to which I cannot get...?

*snikkers*

*sneaks back into the shadowz*

I'm behind on mine as well.

Lets see.

3 volumes of Black Cat
11 volumes of Fruits Basket
8 volumes of Fullmetal Alchemist
7 volumes of Hikaru No Go
10 volumes of The Prince of Tennis
13 volumes of Faeries Landing
Not sure how many volumes of Battle Angel Alita.

That's all I can think of right now, but I know there are more.......

Of course I miss the convo about Dresden Files. Not that it would have done me much good; I finished the entire series in less than a month, so I already know too much (and yes, I know what a geek I am ).

By the way, my mom's on Dead Beat too, PR. It's so tempting to start spoiling, but I shall resist.

Teehee! I'm well on my way to finishing the series within the month, so you're no more of a geek than I am.
I'm done with Dead Beat, so you could spoil it for me, but most folk here haven't read it, so they would be mad at us.

Care to elaborate? Having recently finished book 8, after blazing through 1-7, I am deeply interested in anything fellow browncoats have to say on the series. Thinking back I don't remember any twitching. If you have anything spoilery just put it in a tag...or you could use the uncomfortably small font some people have taken to lately.

Select to view spoiler:

The massively evil fallen angel in Death Masks is called Nicodemus. Having met (and become very fond of) this Nicodemus before that Nicodemus, reading the name in the context of such a coldly evil figure made me twitch. That's all.

I should really head back over to the Dresden thread now that I've blazed through so many of the books.

I've gotten most of the way through the books that arrived recently. Now I need to work out if it's better to send off the ones I have, or wait a week or so for a few more to add to the bunch I'll be sending.

CSTS was last night, lots of photos in the relevant thread, although they demonstrate the need for a better camera.

Morning, bar folk.

Busy, busy weekend. I'm halfway through White Knight, and as MsG promised me, it is excellent.
I have a few "1st book of the series" books on the back burner, waiting to be started, so I have a few things to read after I finish. the most recent Dresden.

How is everyone today?

I'm hoping to hear from a furniture company today that said they would be calling to set up interviews (hopefully) today.
