I was just listening to Leo Laporte, "The Tech Guy" < http://techguylabs.com/>, on KFI 640, and I posted in the chat room about the STS-117 mission (with the Breaking Atmo URL), while he was in the middle of an interview, and Leo posted back "Cool!" Then he spent a couple of minutes talking about it when he came out of commercial, just 5 minutes later! It's near the end of the second hour, and the podcast will be posted within the next week. I'll post the link when it comes online. ________________________

I've been a Leo listener since he was on KGO San Francisco on Sunday evenings oh, so many years ago. Ten or twelve? So did he admit to full-on Browncoat status or what? My weekends have been full of yard-work and not much daytime radio, therefore not much LL.

I can't remember his exact words, cuz I was just s'dang excited (and I knew I'd be able to download the show later), but it went some'n like this...

He comes out of commercial, identifying himself and his show, then jokes that they can probably hear the show in space, then says that what they will be watching in space, on the ISS, is Serenity! Then he explains what Firefly is, who Browncoats are, who Joss Whedon is, how Fox jacked us, etc. (Maybe not in that order, but I'll transcribe it when I download the podcast.)

But, I mean, this was, like, two minutes after I mentioned it in chat! How's that for "audience participation"!

Leo's been a FF/Serenity supporter for years. He used to mention it on tv and on twit. In fact, several of the former TechTv folks liked FF. Some also found it annoying that it was talked about so much....but what're gonna do? I don't think he's ever called himself a Browncoat though.

That's cool. I LOVED TechTV!!! Then they screwed Leo and the rest over when it became G4. Even G4 didn't suck until now. Now the only good show is XPlay. I remember when I used to be excited to turn to TechTV and see what was going on. Those were good days. So, Leo's a Browncoat, huh? That's cool. It seems like all the awesomest people are.
