Um I am not really conversing so much as randomly commenting due to extreme physical and mental exhaustion ( and the horrifying discovery that I don't get Monday off and have to go straight into summer school)

There was discussion about the Green issue on the radidio this morning.

My arguments against: I work with kids who partake. They are dumb. Literally. Their stunted maturity is physically noticeable. I hate to see them like this because they have potential to be very, very bright. Legality will make it as accessible as alcohol (which is more dangerous, but worse when combined).
John Law needs a scapegoat. Folks who get busted for Green are less likely to get caught with anything else. Just think what'll happen if the dumbasses who get busted for Green are replaced with dumbasses who get busted for Meth. It's too late then. That's all the world needs. Replacing potheads with tweekers.
Taxing is redundant. People will grow their own (I know I would if I used). If I could make my own alcohol without going blind then I probably would.
Wait. I can. Jimi showed us the wonders of home brew. Think I might have to give it a try.

Now, as for legalizing, I'm slightly for it too. It sure would take away from a bit of the hype our already dumb kids give Green. Whatever taxes generated sure would help make America a little richer. And I wouldn't have to feel bad about wanting a taste every now and then.

You got the point MSG. You've recognized the need for comfort, even if it may be food. The smell of kettle corn cooking. The texture of cotton candy on your tongue as it melts. Seeing people laughing and having a good time. Watching monkeys throw poo at folks they don't like.

You are not out of energy or life. Just in need os some laughter and comfort. You being is searching for these things and now you can pin point exactly what it is you want to do. That is just good self awareness and that leads to good self care.

Yeah I know what I really need is a day away from all this, but I can't find a way to get it. I thought I was going to get Monday off before starting summer school, but it turns out I have to work half a day and I'm just really burned out so I'm thinking I might just see if they'll let me skip it.

I guess it's still legal to pick up prostitutes there though...

*hug* MsG. I hope you get the day off to recharge the mental battery. Sounds like you need it.
Perhaps a convenient *coughcough* would help?

The delivery truck just delivered the most amazing sectional you ever put your tush in. It is fabric but you would swear it is suede. The stuff is called Ultrasuede. It is amazing. And it is so comfortable I could just curl up and fall asleep.
And then I watched the Gen. Manager price the group at $6500. My dreams of Ultrasuede ownership went right out the window...

Aw no. I think she should get at least a week away from the ruffians to recouperate.

Do something liberating this weekend MSG. I'm thinking my plans might fall through, but that leaves time and money to do something else.

Just thought of an ideal weekend vacation. Aside from x-rated activities it seems I really wanna jump on a very fast personal water craft and burn lots of fuel having fun.

That and see Waitress. There is only one theater showing it in Northern Nevada and I might have to go see it.

Ultrasuede is awesome. My brother and sister-in-law have ultrasuede couches. It's almost what I like best about visiting them.

I have experienced the Ultrasuede sensation and it is reamarkable. My question is does calling something "ultra" make it so? Things used to be "new and improved" but now everything is "ultra". (If this really does work I hope you have an ULTRA relaxing weekend, MsG; otherwise we might have to arrange an intervention on your behalf.)

MsMB, it sucks that you have to go right into summer school. Bleh.

NVG - My theory on the Green is this (and it's all my opinion): People are going to use it if they want to, regardless of legal ramifications. Sure, more people would use it if it were legal (which leads to taxation arguments, which I am all for.) I'd buy a pack of reasonable priced joints in a heartbeat over a pack of tobacco cigarettes, which is also part of the problem: big tobacco doesn't want to lose the money. As for growing your own, sure, it would happen, but not everyone would do it (if everyone made their own beer, Bud would have gone out of business long ago). Also along these lines, it is the only controlled substance that I feel this way about, though I could make strong arguements for psilocybin as well.

Sorry HK, gotta say something before I go home for the day.

Just got a call from John Powell of JP Aerospace. Mission is on for Saturday. I gotta meet them at four in the morning just south of Blackrock. I'm so feakin' excited. 11th Hour is sending some pieces to be sent up on the vessel and not only do I get to see them, I might get to handle them first.

Got giggles stuck in my head and a smile stuck on my face.

Woooooo Hooooooo!!!

Okay. Goodnight everyone.

I now return you to the warm comfort of the thread.

I was late for work this morning too. Plus my boss is unwell so I had to cover everything. Eeek!

Luckily I just had the one class and the person coming in for an exam at the same time didn't show. I know it's wrong, but I was so glad - it gave me a bit of breathing room.

Strangest of all, there's this massive ball of fire. I think it may be the mysterious sun that is referred to in legends of old...

Not much going on. Work, home. Oh, and the Lost finale which was absolutely kickass. I <3 Hurley so very, very much. Doctor Who has also been very enjoyable :) I'm trying to go swimming when I can, but haven't had much time and it's a LONG WEEKEND here which means THREE WHOLE DAYS OFF! In a row!!! Woo hoo!

Well, it helped that I guessed what was going on. ~spoilers for the Lost finale~

Select to view spoiler:

From the moment I saw Jack's beard I thought - "This is a flash forward, not a flashback! I know it!" Still, it made for a kickass season ending. They're off the island, but Jack is desperate to go back - why?

Even leaving aside the fact that almost no questions were answered (and we got a bunch of new ones like who the heck the funeral was for etc) we still had a bunch of excellent moments.

Charlie's death made me cry. I know it had been set up in the last episode, but when he blessed himself in the water I got all tearful. What an ending for the character.

Hurley in the van. Oh GODS yes!!! I love Hurley!!!

Sayid snapping a guys neck with his legs while he's bound and gagged. Geekmafia is now convinced that Sayid is Batman.

They get off the island. They get off the island! Wow!

So, yep. Really great stuff as far as I'm concerned. But if you hadn't seen the season you'd be mighty confused on a few points, like

Select to view spoiler:

Why Locke was shot and lying in a trench full of corpses. And who the girl from Manchester with the sattelite phone was.
