Oh lord. Its a little sugar, some chocolate satsfaction, and self realization. (Maybe even some tequilla flashback from last night)

I ain't bad, got a little money in my pocket, and I love life. Sure there are other things I want in life, but in time...

Just gotta work on this patience thing. Dang.

Aw, NVG, it was just a little joke. C'mon. Chalklit? On a Friday? Sounds like giggle food!

RIMG! Glad the day was so cooperative! Sounds like you had a ball!

Zeek? Except for the Bill Gates part (I don't know if there's enough money that would make me want to be him...) I swear the more you post the more I think you're a younger version of me. I don't know which one of us should be more scared of that.

OMG. This just keeps getting funnier. Introducing Zeek: the $50, 5-minute male hooker.

If I could change lives with anyone, it wouldn't be with anyone glamorous or famous. Actually, I would pick someone in the horse world...she owns a number of horses and gets to show them a lot. Her "job" is to buy, train and then sell them, but from an outside perspective, it seems like heaven. To be wealthy enough to have that as your job would be amazing.

I've been thinking about this question since MsG posed it.

(In no particular order; and I can only think of 4)

1. The World According To Garp by John Irving. - A wonderful, well done, funny novel.

2. The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. I first discovered this book in HS, and it was my first intro to Taoism. I was fascinated.

3. Replay by Ken Grimwood - A little known novel that changed how I see myself living my life. Highly recommended.

4. It's Hard to Make a Difference When You Can't Find Your Keys by Marilyn Paul - I was horribly disorganized for years. Other "How to get organized" books never helped, until this one helped me to understand my disorganized self and retrain my thinking. Again, highly recommended.

And with that list, I am out for the weekend. I will see you all on Monday. Have a good one, Cooler.

*hugs*

Won't be here when you get back. So have a great weekend. (never did answer Mavs' and my query: is there something we should know?)

But that's okay, Mavs never answered mine. FMF never answers me but that's ok, I expect that. Maura on the other hand, tsk, tsk, tsk.

Now, now, Jonny. There's nothing creepy about it.

It's a bit of an obsession, but no more so than someone who lives to golf, or play tennis, or sail, or build toy railroads. The only difference is I can't just leave my horse in the closet when I'm done playing. He is an athlete and must be treated as such. He has to maintain fitness and soundness all while being trained. That takes time and money...and lots of both. With riding you get two athletes for the price of one.

Thanks Kel, same to you!

Bug (is that new movie about you?), no need to show off your NRA membership card. Sheesh.

So, your horse is out of the closet? How do the other horses feel about him? Do they accept him or do they harrass him? As an athlete--who gets treated as such--does he get better seats and quicker service and no jail time for frolicking with two year olds?

Curious minds want to know.

Show is quite the metro-sexual...so no closet in his background...but aware enough OF the closet that he knows how to look pretty. And the "It" factor kind of puts a damper on any frolicking...or thoughts of frolicking so he stays out of trouble with the law.

And really, you only got a serious response because you started your comment with "seriously though." Tip: don't do that if you're joking around.

I was very insulted.

I rate at least $250 per hour.

Why am I not surprised you built a bookshelf by yourself?

Seriously. $50/hr?
In DC that goes for like $400+ an hour.

It is nice to throw high monetary amounts around to complement Hell's Kitten, but please, $250 to $400 an hour? Even the original figure of $50 is rather high. I wouldn't spend more than $25 an hour for Kitten. And it is all a rather moot point anyway, since I don't have any shelves to put up.

Normally I don't edit and change someones original comments. My only intent this time was for humor. And truth be told, I'd probably pay HK $50/hour for shelves, if I could watch her swing a hammer and get covered in saw dust.

*snikker*
I meant to say "bookcase," not "book shelf."
$50 for shelving is rather high. A custom made, hand crafted bookcase, though? That'll bring in the big bucks.

Slow weekend all around, it seems.

I have a question for everyone, and it's not too serious (because no one needs that kind of thing on a Monday morning):

Morning, RIMG.

Despite some very brief shininess, I confess I am not a huge fan of Safe.

I do like the beginning, with the black market beagles, the cows, etc.

But somehow, whenever I pop the series in...I watch Shindig and then skip right over Safe to Our Mrs Reynolds. And I do that almost every time.

No word yet on Husband's employment. I am hoping they make a decision today or tomorrow...please keep your fingers crossed!

"No power in the 'verse can stop me!"

I said this somewhere recently... oh yeah - in a MySpace quiz thingy... but it's probably 'The Train Job' and at first I couldn't put my finger on it - though I did pick up that we were being introduced to the cast again (having seen it for the first time on DVD I saw it in the order as God intended it... I mean... as Joss intended it to be... )

Anyway - it never sat quite right with me and when I heard the story of how it was written in a weekend and had to address all these notes that F*X had I realised why... but still - it is only just my least favourite - I would take it over no Firefly any day and there are some wonderful moments in it! It is really unfair that we didn't get more episodes... I wanna sulk about it now...

"Rim to Core, Rim to Core. Come in Core!"

Damn. Posters must be on vacation or recovering from a bad weekend. Everyone is late! And look!

We're not even at 90 posts yet. Disgraceful!

Oh, wait. I see a few heads rearing and...and One of Them is MAGDA!! (Insomnia must suck.)

Least favorite ep, huh. Wowie. The one where Ross gets...oh, wait. That's Friends. Um, least favorite Browncoat ep. Too hard for my weekend addled brain. Sorry Jimi, I know you were trying to go easy on us...

On Safe, I won't say it's my favorite (too many others vying for that in my head) but how can you not like "The girl is a witch!" "Yeah. But she's our witch."? Makes the rest of the ep worthwhile.

The Train Job had to many good Whedon/Minear moments in it for me to dislike it, regardless of its origin. (I rather enjoy imagining the fury and fluster that must have been going on that fateful weekend.)

As usual, I have no opinions of my own and resort to pointing out the flaws in other people's. I'm going to shut up now.

Sunny and cool, much like my disposition.

In all of the fastfire posting last week I'm not sure if'n everybody caught my good news (seems like many Browncoats were having an off-week). MsQ boughted my plane tickets to D*C. http://www.orangecow.org/pythonet/audio/grailwavs/rejoicng.wav

I saw RMMC yesterday and gave her her birthday hug and did not spank her. She seemed oddly relieved.

I definitely missed that news, Jonny. That's awesome! 100 more days man. :)

Good that you got to see RMMC too. I haven't talked to her in a good long while.

MAVOURNEEN

To MsG when she arrives:

I thought of you this weekend as I waited for Carson while he was at a birthday party. He & friends went to a pottery shop and glazed pottery. I went shopping...and visited the brand new shopping "street" /district across the street.

Went to Borders...book heaven. Bought books.
Went next door to Ulta (like Sephora)...bought perfume & new lip tint
Went next door to DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) and windowshopped tons of shoes.

As I entered DSW, I said to myself "Gee, I wish MsG was here. She'd love this street!

OMG 100 days...must save more money:)

Ok least favorite episode is Ariel...because Jayne is my favorite and it's so hard to see him do that..even if he's sorry later.
See I love Safe...for many reasons but that line ( yeah but she's our witch so cut her the hell down) is a truly quintessential Mal moment.

Morning all...ok fun weekends are great, but I really really think I need a quiet one. This weekend I held a dinner on Friday, did the gym, errands, and a bunch of work on Saturday, and wen to the zoo, my brothers for a ball game, and my mom's for dinner on Sunday...I'm wiped out.
So what all did you do this weekend?

EDIT_ Mav-ooooh that sounds like a super lovely wonderful street...

Police image of SWAT team attempting to excise Mavourneen from Shopping Nirvana Mall.
Once apprehended, subject was said to be babbling incoherently and drooling uncontrollably. No less than six officers shins required stitches. No kicking was involved but references were made to biting and scratching.

In other news MSG couldn't be removed and the national guard had to be called in to demolish the DSW store.
