"the network gave the series truckload of promotion"???

I saw all of ONE commercial for it, that's hardly a truckload of promotion.

Why is the rum always gone?

did you actually watch Fox though? I watched Prison break and Drive was promoted constantly on that show. maybe you just went to the bathroom on the breaks that they promoted it.

I'm with Early. I saw boatlodes of ads for Drive, and I only watch the Simpsons.

STOWEAWAY

I don't think it was the amount of advertising that was the problem. The ads only covered the fact that it was a car race. It didn't cover any of the overlapping storylines (which, BTW, is the reason I watched it). I guess it's hard to convey the idea of a human story amidst hot rods and car crashes.
Just think of how many people on this board wouldn't watch it because "they aren't into cars & racing". Fox promoted the hell out of it but just didn't get the entire theme across.
It's sad really.
