Morning, Cooler!

Way to go Hobbleit! You are in the home stretch. I can't wait to hear that thing is turned in and done (and then that you graduate!) Yay Hobbleit!

Morning, RIMG & Fly! (HUGS for Browncoat Guys!)

Yeah, I'm in a pretty good mood this AM, despite the fact I've been up since 3 AM. Carson came into my room after having a nightmare, and I wasn't able to go back to sleep once I settled him down. I ended up cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, and cleaning up the play room since I had nothing better to do.
I can definitely see why harried Moms start abusing Modafinil. It would rock to get so much done while everyone else is asleep!

This morning's ride to work song was my favorite one hit wonder, "No Myth" by Michael Penn. I love that song. Too bad he never had another hit song.

My boat is floating, Fly, though I may have to start bailing soon.

*gets Mavs a huge mug of The Good Stuff*

Sleep is overrated. Good that you were at least able to be productive with the time you couldn't get back to sleep. No idea what Modafinil is, but it can't be worse than the handful of ice that Eddie was on last night.

(HUG) Jimi. Yeah, Eddie was awesome last night (check your email)-

Modafinil is a narcolepsy drug that is very "fashionable" for working Washington Moms to abuse. It causes you to miss a sleep cycle, without side effect.
I know one person who uses it, once a week, to catch up on chores like I did this morning. I'm too scared to try it, honestly. It's been years since I did such things.

Huh. I do the same thing, about once a week, and it's for chore catchups. I just use pure caffeine though.

Oh, please don't. It is a slippery slope.

I've been off caffeine for a little longer than you have been off of "smokie treats". I sleep deeper and actually need less total sleep. I can't get that quick coffee high right away in the a.m., but I feel a little more human during the day.

That's funny, MsG. I'm just trying to fight the urge to put my head down on my desk for a few minutes.

But sharing great news: Husband placed a phone call to a friend in his business to see if he had a position. He didn't, but knew of someone in urgent need right away. Husband is expecting a conference call within 10 minutes with this guy (who thinks the world of him but is in Aberdeen, which is near the Del border) and the company that has the position.

Keep your fingers crossed, my friends!

I wouldn't call it much harsher than normal.

I would call it asking "Excuse me?"

and

"Dude, WTF?"

Generally, I am not accustomed to being flipped off by Mr Q. And after I told him he was missed.

So don't worry about it, Zeek.
