Featuring Heroes on the cover, a mini insert in the magazine names the top 25 scifi of the past 20 years. Serenity/Firefly is number 15. Blurb ended with a call for execs to grow some courage and continue the franchise.

Aside from the rankings, the only one I disagreed with even being on the list was Brazil. arthouse crap. Everything else was pretty much "check, saw it. good flick."

I need to re-see Brazil. (If only that Criterion DVD weren't s'dang pricey!)
Thanks for reminding me!

Part of the reason I liked Max Headroom so much was that it had that same "Retro Future" look to it.

Max didn't make the list. I liked that. No red dwarf, no dark angel, no earth 2. there's a lot that was good... hard to make a best of list. still, was V better than those? not sure...

they also put battlestar (new) at number 2. Ummmm, I don't think so.

Babylon 5 wasn't on the list, so I can't take it seriously.
If Firefly/Serenity hadn't been on it, I wouldn't have given it a second look.
