Hug. You have nothing to do with this, JQ. I was an *sshole git drama queen to Fly because I was anxious about talking to the designer. I totally blew something he said out of proportion. And I feel bad because he left.

And now I have to leave.

Hi Hobbleit!
Random thoughts for this intimate little group.

How come they never advertised Milk Duds like this when I was a kid? (Or Gobstoppers for that matter.)

It was a misunderstanding on both our parts. I'm not angry with her. I've obviously not stopped posting. It was just unfortunate that the comment I made struck her at the wrong time.

Then, also unfortunately, I had to step out of the office for a while. That left things looking like I was angry, not posting, and being a bit of a drama queen myself. The drama was fueled by unrelated circumstances.

I sent to Mav an email letting her know what happened and letting her know that I'm sorry that things developed this way. I hope that she gets a chance to read it tonight.

Sorry to cause a ruckus.

Edit: Implied but not stated: I only got back after Mav left.

Here I am back to gripe and moan and complain. You notice I do it when no one is here!

Anyway, as I told MsG - today I was told that the boss did not like the dress I wore yesterday. It was unprofessional. Now I will decribe it as best I can. It is made of a soft cotton. A floral print in springlike colors. It has short sleeves, a tie in the back for a bow and comes to just below the knees. It has a scooped neck and is very nice.

FMF, what's wrong with your boss? I hate silly rules that someone determines on the spur of the moment. Those kinds of things make me want to dress really unapproprately.

First of all...

Second...Did the boss say this or did someone tell you the boss said this? Does the office have a written dress policy? If you didn't violate it I wouldn't worry.

Your office sounds very catty!

Morning, Jimi & Nico, (HUG)

Well, everything's back to normal in Mav Land. Not so much the tool - lesson learned.

*takes off her Drama Queen tiara and tosses it aside*

Won't be needing this for a while!

Last night I was watching tv w/ Carson and a JC Penny commercial came on. It was a Mother's Day ad, but it was the music that caught my attention. Reworked in the background is a song from the early 80's called "Only You" by a group called Yaz. It is a beautiful love song. I immediately downloaded it, and Carson & I listened to it this morning. He deemed it "OK" but gushy. Alison Moyet has a very different but beautiful voice.

It'll be a slow day for me, too RIMG. They did only a smattering of business last night.

Coffee...Need coffee...

(And Husband's team split last night; lost first game, won the second in case you are keeping score at home...

I'll be on from time to time. Gotta watch me some Done the Impossible (thank Sahara for letting me borrow it; I will eventually make the purchase, never fear), a Buffy episode (which I almost never do) maybe post some pix I've been waiting to upload and try to think of a "Happy Blog Topic".

And I watched The Riches "Cinderella" last night. Equally great. The Riches got renewed for another season.

SShhhhh on The Unit, I was out at trivia (we tied for second, then lost the tie-breaker and got third, but we had the best team name ever - Dumbledorf dies on p. 469, there, I just saved you $20 and 2 hours of your life). I do know that it was the season finale last night. I have to download it and The Shield.

I am super glad to hear that The Riches got picked up for another season (gods I love Eddie). I just read the plot synopsis for next week's episode, and it looks like it is going to hit close to home with a life I used to live. Huh.

Ami likes The Riches too, she doesn't hardly watch TV anymore where she is, but she makes it a point to catch it. She and I are also big Rescue Me fans.

EDIT: Not sure if I have even mentioned it, but I am a big time closet Potterfan. I have all the books and movies (my movie 1 says Philosopher's Stone on it, not Sorcerer's) and can remember some of the most minute details, much like I can with Firefly. I mention this because I saw the Goblet of Fire trailer when I went to see Spider-Man 3, and IT.LOOKED.DAMN.GOOD. That's all.

It was awesome possom. No spoilage then. I think...best season finale I've seen so far this year. How 'bout that?

I generally don't "read ahead". I will wait until next week to see what it's about.

I think Rescue Me is one of those shows that is on opposite something I am devoted to. I will catch it on dvd.

Did you ever watch Wanted on F/X? We loved that show. You have always reminded me of the really big police officer (Ryan Hurst, who played Jimmy) on that show.

Sounds good to me. It'll be the first season finale I see this year, when I finally do see it.

I usually don't read ahead either, but I was checking to see which episode was 'Cinderella' and saw the synopsis. It goes right along with the preview clips at the end of this week's episode.

Same timeslot as The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Dirt, Thief, etc. Tuesday at 10. Definitely check out the DVDs if you get a chance, Dennis Leary is wonderful in it. I never saw Wanted, and don't really remember it.
