mornin' drinkers.

It's actually been cool here the past few days, which sure beats the mid-90s we had last week. I think a morning in the hammock on the deck would do me well.

* gets a bottle of Jameson and stretches out in the hammock *

I bottled my breakfast stout last night. Now I have 141 bottles of 3 different beers (caffeinated candy beer [7.1 %], dark cherry stout [5 %], and the breakfast stout [2.9 %]) to do with as I please. Kel (and anyone else who might want some), I will send you some soonish.

Well I am not a beer drinker (could never get a taste for it even though it's cheaper than spirits) but a couple of those sound delicious! Wish I could give them a try.

My favorite drink is a Minty Mudslide. Like alcoholic Aero bars!

My, what wonderful taste you have in music!

From Wikipedia..

Kate Bush (born Catherine Bush 30 July 1958, Bexleyheath, Greater London) is an English singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. Her eclectic musical style and idiosyncratic lyrics have made her one of the United Kingdom's most successful and original solo female performers of the past 30 years.

Brit Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated Bush was signed up by EMI at the age of 16 after being recommended by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. In 1978 at age 19, she debuted with the surprise hit "Wuthering Heights," topping the UK charts for four weeks and becoming the first woman to have a UK number one with a self-written song. She has since gone on to release eight albums, three of which topped the UK album charts, and have UK top ten hit singles with "Running Up That Hill," "King of the Mountain," "Babooshka," "The Man with the Child in His Eyes," and "Don't Give Up."

During her tour of 1979, the only tour of her career, she became the first ever singer to use a wireless headset radio microphone on stage. With her 1980 album Never for Ever, she became the first solo female British singer to top the UK album charts. Her songwriting ability was recognised in 2002 with an Ivor Novello Award for "Outstanding Contribution to British Music." In 2005, she released Aerial, her first album in 12 years. The album was a UK success and earned her Brit Award nominations for "Best Album" and "Best Solo Female Artist."

Kate Bush! *drools*

I told Tristan this once...Kate Bush is the only woman I would seriously consider taking to bed. She would have to sing the whole time, which could make for awkward moments...

I have The Whole Story and Hounds of Love on my ipod. I have to be careful if I listen in the grocery store while shopping. I will realize I am singing "Wuthering Heights" out loud!

That is a very interesting endorsement. So if I wanted to get into Bush is this what you would recommend?

Edit: Replace -get into Bush- with -"listen" to Kate Bush-. And by "this" I don't mean sensual, steamy lesbian sex. I meant the albums.

Make sure you have tape in your video cameras.

If you really like female vocalists, absolutely. She is among the best in the world. HOL is one of those albums I can listen to every track, front to back.

EDIT: I knew what you meant.

Carson loves "The Big Sky" because of the the sample of a fighter jet noise that travels from speaker to speaker as it flys by. He also will ask me to play "The Jig of Life" from that album and demands I Irish step dance to the end fiddle music. I don't dance well, but my 6 year old is amused!

"Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush - Don't Give Up"

In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail

No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
Ive changed my face, Ive changed my name
But no one wants you when you lose

Dont give up
cos you have friends
Dont give up
Youre not beaten yet
Dont give up
I know you can make it good

Though I saw it all around
Never thought I could be affected
Thought that wed be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn

Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside
As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground

Dont give up
You still have us
Dont give up
We dont need much of anything
Dont give up
cause somewhere theres a place
Where we belong

Rest your head
You worry too much
Its going to be alright
When times get rough
You can fall back on us
Dont give up
Please dont give up

got to walk out of here
I cant take anymore
Going to stand on that bridge
Keep my eyes down below
Whatever may come
And whatever may go
That rivers flowing
That rivers flowing

Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down
For every job, so many men
So many men no-one needs

Dont give up
cause you have friends
Dont give up
Youre not the only one
Dont give up
No reason to be ashamed
Dont give up
You still have us
Dont give up now
Were proud of who you are
Dont give up
You know its never been easy
Dont give up
cause I believe theres the a place
Theres a place where we belong

THATS why she sounded familiar. That shows what what little I remember ever since uh, something. What were we talking about?

See this:

Thank you, Kel
The New Student Session schedule on the website is actually wrong; it is not until next Thursday that I will be going in. Could have tied to go in today at 2PM, but thought falling asleep would be a bad plan. So I'll go in on Thursday the 17th (I think it's the 17th) and get all that delicious info that I need. In the meantime, I will be looking for work. I have so far called/applied for three jobs, and I'm waiting on hold for the postal service right now. Might have to call back later; the hold music is nerve-grating

Em- sure taunt me with the Aero bars I can only get mail order...sigh. HUGS and welcome to the life of a teacher. The getting up super early while the rest of the world sleeps warm in bed is annoying, but becomes tolerable ( except when you're dumb enough to go to your brothers and watch a ball game until 11pm and then drive home and by the time you get in bed you get no sleep...but enough of my rant)

Flyvote...well duh you tried the cinnamon. There's your problem. Try the mint ones. They're like Junior Mints only better :)

Rose- Sorry I just really don't like the taste or smell of cinnamon ( hold over from many a childhood Christmas when I was so desperately ill...I relate the smell of cinnamon to being really sick) Hey cool you're on your way college girl:)HUGS

OK I really really really need an iced coffee. I may even run out at lunch and get one...so so so tired!

Somedays in IT it just feels like you are doing this all effing day and I'm just grumpy because I didn't have breakfast until mid morning as I was having my stomach test and it's kinda thrown my whole system out of whack. I don't cope well with not eating, sugar level drops and I zone out although medically there is nothing wrong with me (I've had enough urine/blood tests to be fairly certain that the docs are right) but it's given me a stinking headache.

Unrelated news, you can get Altoids in the UK but I've never seen all these wierd and wonderful flavours, just mint. Hmmh, mint, mys stomach has been doing fits all day.

Also, speaking as a man with long hair, no hair pulling! The only fight I ever got into was over that as some t yanked my pony tail and I turned and flipped. It's like a wierd caveman short circuit thing with me and I'm usually a very laid back man unless we're on a football field but then we've both got padding on and it's allowed.

Of course. There are 5 male designers here. 4 are gay. Guess who's hair #5 pulled???

GEE

I am at work because I'm a typical Brit and unless my arm is hanging off by a thread I don't really think of not coming in and my phone kept rining so I never got round to asking the boss if I could go home this afternoon. Heading off now for a sleep and to let the guys know I'm not going to practise tonight.

Oh, and as a side note, I scream aghast at $3000 for pillow, ok so it's only £1500 but I could buy some cymbals and stands, take my other half on a decent holiday and still have some change to attack some of my debt with.

You weren't lurky in the cooler yesterday. One of the designers pulled my hair. And it was most unwelcome. Today he said something a little suggestive.

I need to talk to him, and make sure he knows this has got to stop. I will continue to be polite to him, but if he thinks I'm likely to have a go with him in the stockroom, he's got another thing coming.

Got it. I'll drop them in a little blue USPS priority box and mail 'em out to you in a day or two. Enjoy.
