You were all correct, Firefly IS wonderful.

The Chemistry between the characters is the funniest I´ve seen sice "magnum, p.i.".

I´ve seen now "Serenity" in a one-episode format.
It´s runtime is about 40 mins.
I read somewhere this pilot is supposed to run two hours including comercials?

Also I saw "the train job".

Does it really get better from here? Unbelievable.

I really liked "this one", especially the one-liners.
Jane´s "Chain of command"-speech was hi-larious.

Those FOX - people must went ape or something to drop this gem and hand it over to Universal.

Amazing!

Joss Whedon is really good.

Maybe I will watch buffy the vampire slayer now.

While the difference might be likened to filet mignon being better than prime rib, yes, they do get better. I want to wax rhapsodical about the wonderments that lay ahead, but you should discover those for yourself.

There actually is a 40 minute version floating around somewhere....it was some kinda promo thing or something, a cut of serenity.

Its possible he saw that one, so don't just assume its a joke for certain.

Seriously, this is a legitimate Firefly-post.

There is a 40-minute cut of "Serenity" around.
The words "NOT FOR AIR" are written on the screen the whole time. Also, there´s no Opening and End credits, and the soundmix seems incomplete.

The story kicks in at the illegal salvage operation, and ends just after they incinerate the reevers in the atmosphere.

I liked what I´ve seen, even though it was only half of it.

I hated that 40 minute cut... it took out all the character development and most of the good dialogue, which is 90% of what makes Firefly great.

Well Zapano if you liked Serenity and the Train Job you'd really dig seeing further episodes because it does get better from here. Hope you weren't offened at my little attempt at humor, it's just that Succatash wrote a very funny post pretending to be a newcomer to the show "Is Mel Good or Bad" I think the thread was called. Curse my suspicious nature!

I've seen two more episodes, "BUSHWHACKED"
and "OUR MRS. REYNOLDS".

I am amazed. This is a great show. What a great vehicle for good storytelling. Mr. Whedon can give us stories out of any genre, and they work.

One cares for the characters, the dialouges are funny, the special effects are excellent, and the gunfights are like out of a Walter Hill movie (even the sounds of the guns firing and the impacting bullets sound similar).

The level of violence suprised me at times.

The reason why FOX threw away this gem is now even
more mysterious to me. If they had marketed this thing properly, it would have been a surefire Hit!?!

I cannot wait to get my DVD set which DVDBOXOFFICE sent out on friday. I should receive it sometimes next Week

BTW, I now read the threat where succatash posed as another person. Now that I can understand you're reaction to my posts, the whole thing is quite funny.
